Am I crazy for thinking this

I think you are referring to the "exam crams". There is probably one available for the CCNA exam. I think the Cisco Press books cover things more thoroughly, though they are drier.

Customer says they only got 32 IPs when they should have got 64 (running config displayed here)

What happens when they try to configure the other 32 ip's? Do they not route, or he can't physically configure them on his machines or what? Call me crazy but, have you tried pinging any of the other 32 ip's to see if they are in use? When I was working for an ISP, I ran into situations such as...

Where and How Much Can I Find an Isp Who Supports OC Connections?

Homerboy - Where do you work? I worked for a Tier 1 ISP until I was layed off recently. One thing that was not mentioned was the price of the router that would be required. A Cisco router with a Packet Over Sonnet interface aint cheap. Youre going to need a 4000 series minimum.

BSCN question about selection of route summaries

Most websites are not actually called "www".whatever.com, but rather use an alias (CNAME) via DNS records. The webserver may be called whatever.com, but an alias exists that directs you to whatever.com when you type in www.whatever.com.

Cisco 2500 series router questions

There is suprisingly little router configuration on the CCNA exam. You could get by with just using a router simulator. However, if you want to go on to the CCNP, a few routers could come in handy. The CCNA exam is mostly OSI model, subnetting and switching basics.

2 DSL links for load share/balancing and (outbound) redundancy...how?

If you're new to Linux, go with something well supported like Red Hat or Mandrake. I've used them both, and they are quite good. I've never used Suse yet, so I can't comment.

VMWare Experts Needed

Have you tried using NAT through VMWARE on the guest OS? I've had good results with this method, although my cable service doesn't use RASPPPOE, so I can't vouch for that.

I went about it a bit differently. I added Mandrake to my Win2k box and put the bootloader on a floppy. There is no chance of screwing up your Windows install that way. Since linux boots pretty slowly anyway, with all the boot-time processes and such, the extra time to boot from the floppy isn;t...

Asus A7V133 & Linux: Hardware or Software RAID 1?

Hardware RAID is always preferred. Hardware RAID uses less CPU cycles since the card has it's own dedicated cpu(at least the good ones do). The cards usually have utilitties to rebuild the array, etc. I've never done RAID with Linux, so I'm not sure how the OS handles it.
