    Best DSLR Camera

Definitely check out the T3i it's got a lot of neat features and shares the same sensor as the 7D, T4i, and T2i. I just saw a deal on ebay for this weekend only it was $699 for the t3i 18-55 kit + bag + memory card + 50mm 1.8 + 55-200 don't think you can beat that :)

    Dust prevention?

Most midrange cases these days come with a dust filter anyway, but if you're looking for a third party solution check out demciflex - also like someone mentioned above maintaining positive pressure is key! Negative pressure will create a small suction of air through small crevasses and openings...

    Thermaltake V9

As far as I can tell everything should fit just fine, for sure the video card will its only about 10, 10.5 inches long and that case supports I believe up to 12. If no one gets back to you for sure on the rest of the components by the morning I will, Best, George

    1K build -- Just need a check-in (thanks!)

Ok woah, whats with the hating on the Intel Stock Cooler? Your telling me that the cooler, without any changes to bio running Mid 30's on idles and never above mid 40's is bad? Hes not overclocking! Look its good advice to go with a aftermarket cooler in any situation but if your not...

    1K build -- Just need a check-in (thanks!)

I just built a new rig with that case and you'll absolutely love it, the i5-2500k is also a great choice. The 560 Ti is a great choice but at 1920 x 1080, you may run into certain limitations. I have a stock EVGA GTX 470, which performs a little less than the 560 ti, and on 1680x1050, I max Dirt...

    GTX560 (NON TI)or 6870...which one should I pick?

Agreed and how much more really is the TI Version? I believe ive seen it on newegg around 2 or 3 TI models for under $200.

    ATI 5770 Metal Bracket?

I don't really want to have to cut or dremel anything off, I'm hoping for an easy bolt off solution, anyone have any other advice? Thanks, Kukag

    ATI 5770 Metal Bracket?

Ive seen a couple 5770 disassembly videos and overall it seems very easy. Just remove the screw at the bottom, including the retention plate, and slowly pull away the fan cover and disconnect the fan. But do you think that this metal bracket is just bolted on somehow, i don't imagine its infused...

    ATI 5770 Metal Bracket?

Hey all, so a friend is giving me a great deal on a 5770 out of a deal machine. The card though comes with this metal bracket thing attached by Dell I believe to add stability to the card. Well I want it off and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or had actually done something similar to...

    meego netbooks for $199

Hmm I wonder how the specs are compared and if they are not too different, if you'll be able to do some sort of modding or something to throw Windows 7 on the $199 MeeGo model =D

    New build critique, help please

My bad on not catching his mobo was a h67! If your going to go with a SSD, I'd recommend a Z68 board with the i5-2500K. This is an excellent Z68 mobo - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-502-_-Product With that mobo its not more expensive, many more features, support for overclocking...

    New build critique, help please

As far as the case goes, theres a bunch of pretty decent options, I just got the CM690 II Advanced and love it, other good options include - Antec 300, Antec 900, Cooler Master Storm Scout, Cooler master HAF 912, 922, 932, etc. As far as ram goes, I'd just look for a nice set of DDR3-1333...

    Hows my cable management?

Thanks man! Its the Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced =D I absolutely love it and really if your in the market for a sub $100 case, go with it man! It has ever feature all the other ones do, its just big enough to fit i believe a little past 12" cards, watercooling is a breeze in it, its just an...

How's this build look for a home media server?

SSD's are plug n plays - if you wanted to use something call "Smart Response Technology" which is a new tech from intel which uses your SSD as a cache for your harddrive, and basically drastically improves the performance of your large mechanical harddrive, but you won't be able to use your SSD...

$1200 Skyrim gaming rig, any suggestions?

Lol is it just me or do all the part links go straight to an ASUS DVD Drive? Anyway so far the build is looking very good, definitely get a Z68 if you have an SSD. I'd double check that your video card can fit inside the Antec 300, cause its a fairly small case and the 580's a beast card. So its...

    Hows my cable management?

Agreed, but if you do it for extensions you basically paid to have a set of sleeves so you can transfer them between cases, psu, etc =D Oh well I'll look into it! Thanks for the pricing and what not! Sincerely, George

    Hows my cable management?

Ahh yes a much cleaner and tougher look if you ask me =D I'll have to check that out, So far individually sleeved cables are my favorite but that definitely seems like a nice alternative. If you don't mind me asking about how much would you say it was to get enough to do your PC? Thanks, Kukag

    HSF for new build

I don't have one yet, but it seems the consensus for most bang for buck is the Cooler Master Hyper 212! Good luck! -Kukag

    Hows my cable management?

Absolutely no budging, all the cables are parallel with the back panel and flat against it, fortunately there is numerous places for cable ties and the case has a decent amount of room behind it. Hopefully I'll be able to sleeve the included wires to make it all black, and buy some sleeved cable...

Nvm, I'm a retard =D Found the XMP option in O.C bios menu and enabled it, just rebooted and the mouse was on but not recognized so i unplugged it and replugged and it worked, I'm installed CPU-Z right now and will double check the 7-7-7-21 timing! Thanks and sorry for the worthless post...

Build up - but small problem =D

Hey all so I finally got everything in and assembled it all today, and its booted up and working flawlessly =D Only issue is the ram i got is running at 9-9-9-24 versus 7-7-7-21 which it should be. I know its probably not an issue but I paid a few extras bucks for it I'd like to get that...

    Thermal Paste =D

Hey so I'm getting everything in today and my case Saturday but I was thinking about the i5 and remembered I'd probably wanna replace the stock paste. 1st question is do these things ever go bad? I've had mine for quite some time but always with a protective cap on in a small plastic cubby...
