What current card is comparable to a 7900GTO?

lol, seriously now, the article says that probably its the firmware but they don't know for sure. I just don't get why they didn't apply this firmware (if it is only this) to the regular vertex. The regular vertex SSDs are only -10% cheaper than the Mac editions.

Another Ray Tracing demo from Intel

Essentially the way he (Intel guy) described it (barbie doll example), it is much more close to raycasting than raytracing. BTW, the video sucks big time, lol.

Nearly $2 billion in Q3 alone? If i was Intel, i would utilize all that cash (and then some) to reinforce my position in the GPGPU space (with Larrabee future projects). Intel has much more to lose than $2 billion if it fails to control the GPGPU space.

It makes sense. (the HD4870 1 GB had 90W idle power consumption if i remember correctly) In fact i would say based on the AMD slide (http://img5.imagebanana.com/img/78tdqsse/02.png) that the difference will be a little more more than 60W (it depends from the game tested)

This review doesn't make sense. I 'll wait for AT review. I 'll stick with my prediction about close or a little bit higher (+5%) than 4870 1GB average performance (-10% up to +15%) depending on the game/resolution/quality settings/ AA & AF options.
