Buying a second car (suv) any experience with these

I have a 2007 CR-V (same body style as the years you're looking for). It's decently roomy, but a tight squeeze to put rear-facing child seats in the back row. Pretty good mileage for me, getting 29MPG overall with mostly highway driving. 196K miles and only had to replace the serpentine belt...

I've never run into any problems with placement of the drives by speed, and I have mutliple Maxtors still in use. Typically the IDE controller will throttle down to match the drive with the slowest speed. That's why optical drives are usually placed on a separate port because they are mostly...

Anybody use Home Depot to do installation/repairs?

Hi guys. I need to replace my old windows with energy efficient ones. I was wondering if anybody had experience with hiring Home Depot to do a job. How was the workmanship and pricing? Any other suggestions for the SoCal area?

Question about lawsuit on previous employer

Thanks for the responses. The company is a telecom provider. I didn't hold any important position, so I don't have a name there. The notice I received only needed me to verify that I worked between such and such date. My old co-workers received it as well. Looks like I'll get in on it.

Question about lawsuit on previous employer

My previous employer is about to be hit with a class action lawsuit regarding breaking some labor laws. Does anybody know if there will be any negative consequences (burning bridges) if I participate in it? There's currently no dollar figure, so no idea how much or how little it will give.

For all the Toyota Fan boi out there

Loved my old '92 Corolla. That thing was buiilt like a tank compared to new cars. Had some lady in a Minivan back up into it while it was parked. Totally trashed her bumper and fender. Only got a tiny dent on my car, LOL. The bumper covers were still metal.

Im sorry but I dont like black jelly beans.

Yup, black jelly beans taste nasty. I don't know anybody that likes them. As a kid I used to put them on the floor and make my mom think that we had a roach infestation.

What is one brand/company that you are loyal to?

The only thing I can think of that I have to get of that brand is Kraft cheese, especially the singles. All other brands I've tried tasted like crap. Everything else usually has a choice between 2 or more brands.

Guys, who here does their own grocery shopping?

I always had to tag along with my parents grocery shopping. I know how to pick out good produce due to that, so I always have to go with the gf to make sure we get the best fruits and vegetables out of the bunch. Everything else that is boxed up I don't care.

Combination of helicopter parents and "parents" who don't do any actual parenting. The helicopters make everything seem dangerous so the "parents" take that as being the truth, because they're too lazy to find out themselves, and we end up with pansies. Also, media is to blame, since they love...
