Something everyone missed about the GTX460....

nVidia starts with A0 I think, so this should be the 2nd spin, no? I may be wrong of course, I easily mix up those. I really don't mind them however, I have two EVGA coming in my way and I'll most likely use the step up option if a better, fully enabled, chip gets released.

Check the recommended specifications, I posted them in the previous page. The recommended GPU is a GTX460 768MB, so I'd say the GTX260 won't be stellar, but should work.

I guess so, but I want to get the best efficiency possible as well, so I need to aim at an average load at 50% of the PSU spec. The AX850 would be pretty perfect for that if I don't XFire/SLI and only mildly OC. Yet, if I go with the AX1200 and don't SLI/XFire then I won't get a so good...

Charlie goes nuts over GTX460 launch?

I think it's the editor who smelled opportunity. That being said, it's obviously purposely timed with the GTX 460 release and shows that even Charlie cannot find something bad to say about that very good looking release.

The 1GB version is, but it won't be much available yet. When it is, if AMD does not reduce the MSRP on the 5850, then I agree with you. The answer is not as clear if they do, however.

The new G.Skill Phoenix is also a good choice, a tad cheaper and matches the Vertex 2 is many benches.

XFX 5770 Issues - Artifacts?

In dual mode, do you always connect the same monitor to the same port? If so, try switching, it should settle if the problem is with the monitor or the card (or one of its DisplayPort/DVI port anyway).

Hi all, I'm building a new rig and want to partially hop in the 3D bandwagon. I might not get the glasses right away since I want to see how 3rd party vendor for ATI card play out and such, but I would like to get a 3D ready monitor just in case. Furthermore 120 Hz is never bad imho. Anyway...

I don't think so. Auto-stereoscopy works for one user only, unless both all people are really close to each others and have the same eye movements. Glasses requires multiple sets, but at least it's possible. Unless the future is one TV per person, I don't see glasses-less 3D gaining on anything...

http://www.eorzeapedia.com/ is the best source of information I've found so far. PC is going to support 1080p (and hopefully higher vertical resolution as well), PS3 is limited to 720p. PC version is also going to support Eyefinity/Surround (very high horizontal resolution), 3D is still unsure...
