The difference is that Verbatims are generally better quality discs than RiData. So it may be the case of getting what you pay for, especially if the discs are meant to play back on finicky older DVD players, or to be stored for extended periods of time....

It's true 1080P because it has enough pixels to display 1920x1080 content. I.E. is physically capable of displaying 1080Pcontent without rescaling it. Because it's actually a little "taller" than true 1080P (1200 lines > 1080 lines), there will be thin letterbox lines (60 pixels high) above...

Keep in mind that this is the CANADIAN version of the netbook. The Enter key is two rows tall, and the pipe/backslash key is in a non-standard location. On the plus side, if you need to type in French, the keyboard is pre-labeled with the various accent symbols, etc.

Not quite. Most HDTV (Save for ESPN, ABC and Fox) is in 1080i. A 1080P TV with a proper deinterlacer can reconstruct the 24 progressive film frames per second from the 60 interlaced "fields". A cheap 720P TV may actually end up showing you a 540P picture from a 1080i source.

8GB MicroSDHC (Class 6) - $13.49 FS

I've used a Class 2 Sandisk 8gb Micro SDHC card, and I've had no issues on my Pearl 8130. However, even with the latest software, (4.5.0.97), my 16GB Sandisk makes the phone crash... But there's no reason why these 8gb cards should be an issue. :)
