Are these voltage numbers meant to reference the bios setting, the bios reading, cpu-z load, or cpuz-idle? All of witch will be a different number than on another.

    dillema - Samsung C830 128GB or Crucial M4 128GB

Thanks for the input! Concerning your first pargraph, it would be good for me to wait, and look for a new drive from Crucial. I wonder if their next drive will be different only in raw speed. If I fill the Samsung or the M4 so that there is only, say, 10GB free, the performance won't tank?

    dillema - Samsung C830 128GB or Crucial M4 128GB

I'm also looking to get a SSD in the 120-128GB class. I'm not concerned with which one is cheaper by a couple of Hamiltons. I'm going to use this new drive for around 2.5 to 3yrs. I'd like to be able to operate without worrying about performance degrading due to (A.) how heavily I use it...

This computer is a home file server mainly. a very high percentage of the data will be movies. i figures spanning would accomplish my goal of having the two dives under one dive-letter and not take up the as much electricity as a raid 0 would. if there is a "safer" way of accomplishing the goals...

    Windows 7 default ntfs formatting

My goal is to have a Windows 7 partition of 12GB and another single drive letter, so to speak, for the rest of the free space from both hard drives. I just want all the storage linked together continuously. So it looks like my only option then is to use GPT partition. But I'm not finding any...

    Windows 7 default ntfs formatting

I've just installed windows 7 RC 32bit on 2 (two) "1.5TB" hard drives that i have "spanned" via the bios. I was expecting to see something like 2.7 TB total of actual storage space after the NTSF formating. What I have though is 2TB. I'm aware of the info here Wiki Capacity_measurements so...
