Why cant I get any of my 'Burning" software to work with XP?

Defective motherboard to new motherboard ?

SOYO Dragon + and Power-up problem

The Dragon + startup is a bit different from the norm. One loud beep, followed by two short beeps then video is NORMAL for this board. I checked this with John Howland who is a Soyo guru of sorts. If you hear anything else there could be a problem. If you hear NO beeps but fans are moving it...

What's the deal with nwe Dragon BIOS - EVALUATION ROM - NOT FOR SALE??

Just saw John Howland from Specialytech who is a Soyo tech/guru asked the same question in a newsgroup. He stated that this is not a beta but a full BIOS release and official.

At this point I'd say Dragon +. They released the board 2 weeks ago, some instability was found, and they already have a new BIOS that fixes it. My understanding is that some other KT266a boards released some weeks ago have the same issues and there not fixed. I's say Soyo has done there...

New Soyo BIOS helped 3D Mark 2001 tremendously to 8201!

Despite some initial startup problems with the Dragon/Dragon Plus this board is becomeing a serious contender to the big boys Abit & Asus in performance. It has most ofl the same features as the new Asus E board at about 40 dollars less. They responded to some really severe BIOS lockup problems...

Nforce is way too expensive

Best KT266A mobo? And where can i buy it?

Soyo Dragon + looks best. It allows you to setup the RAID controller as regular IDE's the MSI K7T266 Pro2 does not. But then I'm waiting a week or so forn nForce boards and they just might be better...dunno...

The "HY" may mean Hyundai Semiconductor. Since they supply many vendors it's hard to tell who really made it. Check some meory makers websites like crucial, viking or mushkin.

What is the real difference between GENERIC and MICRON RAM ?

Well i think Micron is really Crucial ? Anyways, the difference I see is that Crucial is lifetime warrenty generic may not be. Also the actual workmanship and memory yield will be of better quality.
