You could be right, I guess it depends on how power limited 6800XT is at 300W. How long can it sustain that boost clock. More limited it is the bigger the perf jump AIB GPUs will have.
They will be once AIB cards drop. 300W power limit is the only reason clocks are this low. Basically marketing reasons to brag it’s lower than Ampere. This things will boost to 2.5GHz EZ PZ.
Why would they place N21 against 3060 when N22 is more than enough? N22 is between 2080s and 2080Ti. 3060 won't touch that. Not to mention 3060 has 6GB of VRAM lmao.
These leaked N21 clocks suggest that MacOS spec dump was actually conservative. It won't surprise me if N22 is clocked even higher than 2.5GHz. Who knows where the real limit is.
There was probably a late decision to move everything up the stack once they got hints of RDNA2 performance. That's in line with the whole 3080 is our flagship card mantra by Jensen.
People can always vote with their wallets and buy a console. Whole next gen system for 500 USD. Beat that with PC. 3070 alone is that much and is maybe 15% faster.
I don't consider XSS a next gen console. It's basically an X1X replacement with additional features. And we've seen reaction from ID Tech guys about VRAM size.
But at the end of the day, its a 300USD for a whole system, so it's still a phenomenal deal. 3060 alone will probably cost that much.
I'm pretty sure it's another BS guess. Pretty reliable leakers have confirmed its 80, 72, 72. It also makes more sense since AMD never cuts a full die by that much. We'll see.
Oh god why did I even bother reading nonsense from Coreteks. The guy is saying a 64CU RX6800 with 1820MHz game clock...
I don't think people 'hate' Raja Koduri. Most of them just think he was/is cringe AF. Looking at Intel right now, they come across exactly like AMD in the past. And it's not surprising at all. A lot of ex AMD now work for Intel.
AIB cards could be over 300W, why not? The reference ones are definitely staying below though. That 2 slot cooler is not meant for anything above 300W. It's also only 2x8. Ah yes, and we have to account for USB-C.
Same incompetent DF that benchmarked Nvidia and AMD GPUs in I think it was Mirrors Edge Catalyst? And forgot to mention that game dynamically adjusts settings on lower VRAM GPUs? Which meant Nvidia GPU ran at lower settings.
