I have a K7T Pro Microstar(MSI)Motherboard (MS-6330) and currently own a AMD 800 Thunderbird Cpu....seeing as how I can only overclock the FSB with the board I can't overclock to the speed I want...
I was wondering if anyone knows if the board can support a 1200 cpu?
The MSI site says it...
Both my drives were running Fat 32 not NTFS.....
So I don't think diskprobe will work....I have to get my cd back off my friend and I will try it...If worst comes to worst I will have to put the drive back into a 98 computer and copy the files over a crossover cable...I just don't see why I...
Disk Managment Says:
E: (Layout) Partition (Type) Basic (File System) Nothing there, blank (Status) Healthy (Capacity) 9.55GB (Free Space) 9.55GB (% Free) 100 % (Fault Tolerance) no (overhead) 0%
Thats it...hope someone can help....I need to use the stuff on the drive.....
Right........I have two hard drives in my computer....the second one is full of mp3's and stuff....I took out the second hard drive and put it in a 98 SE machine....worked great, copied the files over....then I put it back in my machine, clicked on the drive and it asks if I want to format...
Thanks guys,
I do have the UDMA 66 cable connected.....It came with the motherboard.
I had a quick look at quantum's site and they have a 33-66 change utillity so I will try that when I get home from work.
Should give me a bit of a performence boost :)
Not much point having ATA66 if it's not...
Hi,
I have a Quantum Fireball ATA66 13gig HD but how do I tell if it's actually running at 66?????????
During startup it says ATA33..........
Both Motherboard and HD support 66, I thought it just detected straight away and I didn't have to do anything to get it to work?????????
What do I have...
All I had to do when Dual booting with ME was to put in the cd....asked me if I wanted to upgrade or do a clean install......did the clean install....put it on the same partition and everything went great.
The End
:)
eerrmmm that dosen't sound good........
Your even worse off than me.
If you have done a clean install there should be no restrictions on your computer whatsoever. Do another install. It's not worth trying to get around any of it.....
I grabbed the new IE (.600) off the web.....
Still getting the errors in web pages, it is usually related to "mshtml.dll"
Anyone else got the same problem?
I get the errors any time while surfing.....I may go to a site once and everything is fine...but the next time it gives me and...
I did a clean install of Me and am one of the people having problems with IE 5.5 ........I did the upgrade to .600 but am still getting random errors while browsing...usually reatating to mshtml.dll
Very Very annoying (to put it nicely)
After a restart everything is okay till the next time...
I HAVE THE SAME DAMN PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!
Only seems to be with IE. I get a "MSHTML.DLL" error like you reported earlier...I also downloaded the newest IE known to man and it did ah heck all.....I did a clean install so everything SHOULD be fine.....only seems to do it in some certain...
I am having the same problem.....
After I type in a url it gives me some kind of error and quits explorer. Keeps happening untill I restart the machine, then it's fine again for a while.
I will download the newer IE and see how it goes.
Hi,
I currently have win98se installed and want to upgrade to Me.
I want to do a fresh install after formating everything..
Can you do that with the Promo upgrade?? Or do I have to do it just over the top of the old one?
I can't see any reason why I couldn't, but I'm just making sure...
Thanks BT7990......
Didn't really give me much more info than I allready knew.
I will just try out a few settings and see how much of a difference (if any) they make.
My MX and T'Bird seem to like each other....
I have a leadtek with the tv out, haven't tried the tv yet though.
I have clocked the RAM upto 221 (haven't tried higher yet) and Clock upto 218 (dosen't like the clock any higher than this)....Seemed to run everything great. I'm very happy with it.

Hi,
I have recently put together my system and was hoping some of you guys could help me out with some tweaks?
My system components and all listed below....
In the Bios it has"Bank 0/1 DRAM Timing"
It can be set to normal, medium, fast or turbo.
I was tempted to put it straight onto...
I didn't get a ata100 board either, but I don't care because my drive is only ata66 anyway.
Definatly reccomend this board aslong as you don't want to overclock.
I haven't tried the Fuzzy Logic 2 overclocking thingo yet. But I doubt it will go very much higher....
I got my MIS K7T Pro working perfectly the first boot (well except I put the Power lead cable around the wrong way) I am very happy with it. Sorry to hear you got a dud.
But you won't be dissapointed with the new one.
(I kinda wish I had a problem so I could see the little leds tell me somthin :) )
I have a Leadtek Geforce MX with S-video out, which my tv dosen't have. Can you get a converter to change it to composite video?
The places I have been to, say there is no such thing, but you got one with your Prophet??????????
I have a Leadtek MX and also seems to lock up in places. Only seems to have happened in Porsche 2000, so maybe it's the game.
Only had the comp for a week or so.
I will see what happens with some other games.
My comp at idle runs at 40-41 C with the el cheapo coolermaster, I just left the normal tape crap on the bottom instead of thermal grease and I'm pretty happy with the temp. Thats with no Case fans either, except the PSU of course.
I used to have 233 cyrix before this comp....did 266 quite easy but the multipliers didn't support anything higher.
I didn't notice any improvment anyway, it's not really worth the extra heat.
