After becoming members of Costco (in a city about an hour away) we chose to not renew our Sam's Club membership even though they're local. I find Costco's products to be consistently less expensive and of higher quality. Worth the drive. But if you don't have a Costco within your traveling...
We are members of both Costco and Sam's. We did a comparison between Costco and Sam's on the items we buy and Costco was cheaper on literally everything except for tuna (tuna!?) than Sam's.
