Canon MP780 printer problem

Make sure you are using a USB 2.0 connection. When I used a slower USB 1.1 port, mine did the same thing. When I switched to 2.0, it worked fine.

How to softmount fans?

That earplug solution should work Ok, but make sure the earplug pieces on side of the fan that mounts against the case aren't too thick -- you want as small of a gap as possible so that the airflow doesn't "leak" too much.

CNPS7000B-CU vs. XP-90

Suggestions for a good Video Capture Card?

Yeah, oldfart is right. The pass-through will work just as well as the Canopus box plus, you'll have a modern camera to boot. I would've suggested that earlier, but I thought DV cameras were more expensive. I paid over $800 for my Sony a couple of years ago!

Question about fans inside a computer.

It's almost certainly the Power Supply fan ramping up. Most PS's have thermistors on their fans which bump up the fan speed when certain temperatures are reached.

Asus P4PE800-Deluxe or AsusP4C800-Deluxe?

The "P" does not implement CSA for it's Gigabit ethernet (doesn't tie up the PCI bus with network traffic). Probably not a big deal to most people.

Most systems can do pretty well with a single rear-exhaust setup. Maybe a 2nd one running at very low speed blowing on the hard drives. I can't imagine NEEDING 8 fans -- geez, your rig must sound like Cape Canaveral on launch day!

Best Quiet PSU

How do i check my yahoo mail in outlook?

Hmmm. The standard free Yahoo mail accounts don't offer POP3 access, as far as I know. I believe the only way to get this to work is to subscribe to the enhanced Yahoo mail service. I haven't tried the YahooPops utility, though. Maybe I should have, before I subscribed.

asus p4c-e or abit max3?

I was recently facing the same decision and went with the ASUS only because it doesn't have a Northbridge fan and I want a quiet system. If you are really an avid overclocker, the Abit is better for you. Both boards are great -- either one is an excellent choice.
