need help

i want to upgrade my mainboard, anyone know how i can save my harddisk (don't want to format the drive and reinstall OS and program files).

BA Fry's through 2/1: Boxed Sempron + integrated video mobo for $85.

my friend just ordered this comboand 1 g of memory plus $34.50 S/H. they only shipped him the memory, telling him combo is B/O. and charged him the full $34.50 for S/H. what if they don't have that combo in the next 3 months?? any opinion!!!!!:Q

Share amd xp cpu, m/b overclock experience

if running xp cpu@default 133 speed, the boot up time is ok, but when it goes to 150 or higher then very slow. even with the nforce nf7s v2.0 with 1700xp+ running @10X200, i am not happy with the boot up time and i try open cpu-z it takes quite a while to come up.

first, when i upgrade to xp cpu, and overclock them, yes they are stable and higher speed in benchmark, but i notice the boot up time is much longer (you can see it with the blue moving windowXp bar, 2 to 3 times more). second, when i open some programs, eg CPU-Z, it take like 10 to 15 seconds...

Shuttle MN31n motherboard emitting a high pitch frequency.

possible the noise is from those coils, try to put some silicon on those coils, those round ones.

try to put some for nortel phone filters, not much help. if i unplug the Alcatel from the phone line, all phones works. no more noise interference.

use to have nortel dsl modem with bell, i don't need to put dsl filters and all my phones works fine. just switched ISP, now i am using a Alcatel speedtouch home dsl modem, all my phones have lots of interference, very noisy. anybody have this problem before, need help here!!!!!!!!!

I HATE COMPUTERS!!

since the 1g tbird is 200mhz not 266, and everything is working fine, but now you have a 1.4g at 266, double check the following two. << its KT7A-Raid mother board with soft menu thru bios. ok i just plugged in my amd 1.4 Gig CPU and it shows up in the bios as 1050MHZ >> are you 100% sure...

Please help me: ASUS K7M

100% working with 1g tbird on mine, using km132 bios. max fbs is at 119. it is at 10x115@1150 at default core voltage. have it like almost a year, never had any problems.

This machine is a TANK!

what is your memory benchmark. mine is ALU/830, FPU/1063 ak31, v3.1, latest official bios, 1.4 tbird, 9.5x150fsb. default voltage. can't get it over 166fsb.

but no luck with 166 even if i lower the multiplier, could it be the 1/4 pci divider case??? anybody??

here is my setup shuttle ak31 v3.1 with 1.4g tbird, 256m pc2100 crucial ddr, radeon 64mddr vivo, 2ibm75gxp 30g in raid 0, pioneer 10xdvd, yamaha 4416cdrw, copper hsf. temp is around 50c. bios with default 133 @1400, it pass prime95 no problems. bios set to 150fsb, 10x@1500, rise the ddr voltage...

Leadtek 7350KDA - Don't bother

i have this m/b with the latest bios flashed. with winxp, don't have any problems. better than k7s5a.
