Windows 8 to Windows 7 using a new hard drive, how to install

I have an HP computer with Windows 8. I want to remove the hard drive, install a new hard drive and install a new copy of Windows 7. What should I look for in the BIOS so that I can install Windows 7 on this new hard drive. Tnanks

What program are you using to do a full backup of Windows 8 ?

Reason being that with Windows image program, you can only restore the entire image whereas when I used Acronis, you can click on the image and restore selected files without having to restore the entire image.

What program are you using to do a full backup of Windows 8 ?

I know that Windows 8 uses the option of Windows 7 backup program, but was wondering what other programs work good with Windows 8. I had been using Acronis 2010 (which I think is their best version) but it is not compatible with Windows 8. So, what are you using ?

How do I access my computer at work from home in Windows 7

I checked teamviewer. Very expensive, $749.00 for lifetime I also check logmein and its $69.00 a year. Seems more reasonable for what I need which is just being able to access my one work computer from my home. Seems like logmein also has an app for my IPhone.

Windows 7 is a piece of crap

You need to have 2 megs of ram, it will run better along with a 20 meg hard drive. Then you will love it

System Restore from Best Buy backup

I had the same problem on an E Machine that my neighbor bought from Best Buy with a restore disk. It too would not boot from that disk. If I remember correctly, their restore disk does not contain the operating system, only the drivers and programs. I would suggest calling Best Buy and ask...

Resume from sleep problem with W-7

I would personally disable it from going to sleep in the Power Options mode. I never liked it since it powers down everything and I have had problems with clients computers that you are experiencing. Just my 2 cents.

Is a Pentium D 2.8 GHz considered fast ?
