on the topic of capacitors, the four capacitors on my abit bx6r2 burnt out just a couple of days ago. i had pulled one off to read the specs. they're actually rated up to 105C and are made by jackcon. what's really weird is that everything stil works like a charm after the caps burnt out...
is the nvidia full screen mirror control supposed to work with videos that has a screen size > 640x480?

i just recently purchased an acer 16x dvd rom to replace a first generation toshiba dvd drive which had a weird problem that it could only play the a few section of any movie.
but after i installed the new drive i get the same problem.

my comp wont poweroff after i shut win2k down. it goes in to a dos blank screen with a flashing cursor. i use bx6r2 w/celeron 600->900 and yes, i did turn APM on in both windows and the bios.
anyone having the same problem?
any one experiencing lock-ups when setting the tv out to play videos in full screen?
it's odd that it works most of the time, but when playing certian files my system locks up completely. usually i can play low quality / resolution downloaded movies in windows media player 7, and most (not all)...
buy.com has Acer 1640 dvd drive for $112, i think Acer and AOpen are sister companies so the drives *should* be the same. not too sure though, u should do some research to make sure
hey anyone who has asus v7100/T, how is the tv-out quality?
how is the quality? worthy of dvd / divx playback? how does the text look?

tomshardware did not review the tv out version of v7100 so i cannot...
because nvidia constantly writes new drivers while 3dfx just sticks with whatever works. however i do think nvidia shouldnt have released any new drivers that havent been fully tested. 3dfx used to be a great company, until nvidia suddenly droped out of the sky and knocked out 3dfx. now 3dfx's...
i guess im overestimating the 'power' of G4s myself...
seems like the only marketing strategy Apple has it to jack up the price and give it a fancy case, so ppl naturally think it as a superior product.

computing power grows exponentially, so to me there's not much point in paying twice as much (or more for u freaks out there :) ) for a bit of performance premium.
