That event log has nothing to do with your monitor. That is a WMI failure. You probably should look for a crash report. You'll need to download some specific tools to read it and it may or may not be helpful.

I have small amounts of stutter with my 1080 Ti as well. Had no issues with Fury X.
I have tried running perf mon but it happens somewhat randomly and I have not been able to capture the data of exactly what resource is being eaten up when it happens.
No issues with other games im playing...

They unboxed and tested 20 monitors... it is not great. The Asus panels are the same as the Acer panels and cost significantly more. I don't see how their profit is razer thin unless Acer is selling at a loss.
Your prediction of the death of 16:9 has no basis except that you like it. What is better does not matter. It matters what the industry goes with. This can be seen historically in the tech industry. Betamax vs VHS, HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray. Unless televisions switch to 21:9 that will not become the...
The game only allows for up to 12 monsters to be spawned at a time. So no, it does not compare to Crysis in any way. Crysis was a game that came out and pushed the boundaries in basically every way. The AI, particle effects, huge open world, textures, polygon count. Everything about the game was...
At 160 bucks I would have grabbed one for the wife. At 200 bucks.. I will wait to buy my friends used 970 when he upgrades. I was hoping to put something fairly low watt in her machine since my machine already heats the room over time.
I don't understand the extreme brand loyalty to the point that you need to write so many posts defending a company. The more baffling thing is the accusations thrown the other way at people who say anything bad about it. There appear to be plenty of 970 owners in the thread that have made...
Yea, also explains the weird [H] recommendation of a VR card based on an early access title. Kyle really has a grudge against AMD and IMO the site has gone off the deep end because of it. Leading up to the launch of the 480 he made some crazy claims, some things he said a professional reviewer...
Just to be clear this "HardOCP VR Leaderboard" is based on a single early access game?
@sm625 it is basically like Vsync. If the card doesn't hit 90+ it drops to 45 and shows each frame twice.
I understand the argument you are making here but it does not stop the fact if the statement was made. I don't care personally as I sold my Fermi based GPU years ago by now but there is someone out there who was affected by the statement, surely. Edit: Someone who sees that statement thinks to...
AMD has replied to another reviewer who reported the issue and said they are looking into it. Unfortunately I don't recall the reviewer who reported this as I stumbled on them.
Another thing to know is they reported having some crashing in ROTRR on two differente model 480s with this driver...
So it seems like the Xbox 360 controller is the defacto controller for many games that have controller support. Other controllers seem to sometimes need 3rd party tools for remapping because developers have not supported them.
I am curious if this is the case with the Xbox One Elite...
You should be able to used Display Properties to setup your 3 monitor non-eyefinity desktop. This is what I do, no need for an option in Crimson control panel. I will note however that my configuration was all plugged into the primary card.
That is completely different from Eyefinity though. Eyefinity treats all three monitors as one monitor.
Plugging into the second card is not, and has never been a supported configuration for AMD Eyefinity.
Can I run AMD Eyefinity technology with AMD CrossFire technology?
Any AMD Eyefinity technology configuration that works with a single graphics card will work with AMD CrossFire technology, however all monitors must connect to the primary graphics card. In most systems, this will be the GPU...
You're welcome for a card that has continued to compete with the competition 3 year later. If they had stifled its performance for power savings that would likely not be the case.
You are not without options you can lower the power limit on the card at any time.
What I have seen is that there actually are multiple in the same boat I was in with a 290 or better and a Freesync monitor. I have seen quite a few people wait instead of getting a 1070/1080 because of the monitor. The choice to give their implementation away for free is maybe paying dividends...
More specifically
Fury X AIO and
SILVERSTONE TD02-LITE or similar AIO
Prefer a case that is easy to work in and doesn't look like it is from the 1990s.
What is your advice?
Mine is definitely in the worst position possible, straight down fan blowing down on the radiator, there are holes in the bottom of the case designed for updward airflow. Unfortunately the rad does not fit in any position in my case. The top is blocked because the pump is slightly too long. The...
I am sure they will fix it quickly, but hopefully these issues help dispel the illusion that AMD is the only one that has issues in their drivers. I have maintained for a while that both parties have issues. You are going to end up with drivers from either camp that have quirks especially if you...
In a way instead of focusing on DX11 they chose to push Mantle which evolved the next generation API.
Honestly, this only affects very few gamers in very specific situations. If you are using a high end card and running high settings you won't notice.
The biggest situation where this comes...
I tried to look at what conservative rasterization does but due to weekenditis I surrendered. Any chance of a simplified explanation of these DX12 features?
Also, does Pascal support hardware Async or no? Do we know yet?
Installing the XFX Fury X was *very* annoying. I'll lead with that. I forgot that I had read somewhere that the XFX has very short lines.
My case is specifically designed for air cooling with airflow from bottom to top but it does have places for radiators. However they require you to run...
That isn't going to tell him how much power PCIE is drawing.
I believe Toms Hardware posted their testing method. I would search that. However, I am not sure why you would bother with it seems like a waste of your time.
There is a minor issue with 1070/1080 and Vive. Don't exaggerate it.
The 1070 and 1080 are supposed to be good VR cards as they have both Async Timewarp and Single Pass Stereo Rendering.
Somewhat OT.. I wonder if Single Pass Stereo Rendering affects 3D.
You give IPS Glow a pass because it is only at off angles but discount TN because it has colorshift at off angles.
How many people are viewing their screens at off angles? Stop doing that!
Edit: Also while I have not seen this specific screen I notice IPS glow in dark scenes at a head on view.
It depends
You have to make some predictions like is the 1060 going to launch at MSRP and are you going to be able to get one?
They are launching as fast as they can to take sales from the 480.
Once the 1060 launches I think you will see more 980 sales.
The next question will be if...
I was looking at the Z35 but the smearing got me. There are just a few transitions that take too long on VA still.
I ended up getting a TN panel because I hated the IPS Glow on my other monitor, it was very distracting in dark scenes in movies/shows/games. It made it very difficult at some...
