Well, it's the faster card of the two the OP was considering....why not get a free cable if you're getting that speed card? What did you end up getting, EJtheK?

I ran Prime again today and was at 50C under load after 10 minutes. It was quite warm in here when I ran it last time, much cooler today. I'm ordering a flash drive tomorrow so I can flash to the new BIOS of my board before I start with the overclocking.

From what I've read about the Phenom II, it's not good to get the temps much over 55. Maybe 60 at the highest. The new Intel chips run much hotter than the AMDs do

The Sapphire 6870 on newegg comes with an HDMI cable too. It'll save you a few bucks from having to buy one

I'll let others chime in on the CPU/Mobo/Video card as I'm not up to date on the newest chipsets, etc. I'm looking into the Phenom II 955 myself. Seems like a good bang for the buck to me... Are you going to be overclocking this rig or?

I think the 750 would definitely be the better deal over the 760 then. Still not sure though because the AMD 955 is a lot cheaper than either of those and should match or outperform the Intel chips when overclocked, right?

PCI wireless adapter?

I second that recommendation on the Edimax. I installed mine a couple days ago and it doubled my signal strength. Definitely worth the 20 bucks. Online gaming is now possible over the citywide wireless network that I am on.

CPU versus GPU

Depends on the game really. Some will utilize extra cores of the CPU and others will use the GPU more. It also depends on resolution. If you are playing at low resolutions, your CPU will be used more than the GPU

Well, in the CPU tests my CPU is getting 0 fps. I'm gonna hold off on the OC until I get another CPU. CPU seems to bottleneck my system quite a bit

Help with cleaning of pc parts.

I just use bursts of canned air to clean everything. I don't have room in my apartment for an air compressor and I doubt the neighbors would like the noise if I did.

weird PSU problem? or fan controller? please help!

You sure have enough juice with that Corsair, my guess is that something is wrong with the 5v rail and it's putting out too much but I am no expert.

Drinking Wine: where do i start?

If you have the opportunity, my recommendation is to go on a wine tasting tour. That let's you try a lot of varieties and you can find out what you like =) If not, just get a few reds and a few whites and see what you like that way.

Overclocking my 4670

I tried installing Rivatuner and it won't install. All I get is an error message showing folder destination and "Rivatuner224c-[Guru3d.com].exe is not a valid Win32 application". That's the only program I remember that I've used to overclock a gpu. What do I try now? I would try ATITools but...

HD4670 or new motherboard?

The 4670 I have is this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102854 It runs really cool. Right now I have my window open so it is probably 60-65F in here but the GPU is running at 23C. When it is hotter, say 85F in the room, it still runs at a nice cool 30C idle and 35C load.
