What are the best backup programs that Encrypt files and upload them to an FTP? I used to use Cobian Backup on the PC side and it was pretty great.

Media Player Classic - Seeking, Fast-Forward, etc.

Thanks guys. I was able to change some of the settings under Options>Keys>Jump Forward (large). I set that to 'None' for the modifier and VK_Right (and VK_Left) for the key. Works great now. I'll check out MPUI. I like the idea of having a program with integrated codecs. Sounds cool.

Media Player Classic - Seeking, Fast-Forward, etc.

I've been using Media Player Classic and Viplay for a long time. I'm always surprised that Viplay didn't catch on more, but I like them both. With Viplay I can quickly seek, fast-forward (scrub?) through a video file by simply pressing the right arrow or go backwards quickly using the left...

imap spam filter?

If any of you guys use IMAP for your email at your own server (I'm using Dreamhost, fyi) what do you use for spam filtering? I'm trying to get popfile's experimental imap spam filter working, but I'm having some troubles. Are there any other solutions out there? edit: Oh, and I should say...

How old were you when you first noticed

25. Got a haircut, stylist put the mirror up so I could see the back of the hair cut and I noticed skin. That was like 3 weeks ago. Is there anything other than Propecia that's worked for any of you guys?

Upscale a DVD to HD resolution?

abaez, what do you set the upscale resolution to? I'm experimenting with 1440x960, 1800x1200, and even 1920x1280. I think I'm either going to have to get a more powerful video card or a more powerful processor to do this right (don't laugh, I've got an Athlon 2500+ with a 32mb Geforce2 GTS).

Thanks guys for all the suggestions. I'm currently working to try to get TheaterTek + FFDshow to upres but I'm hoping to finally be able to use SageTV + FFDshow to upres within SageTV. I'll post again if I have any success.

Upscale a DVD to HD resolution?

Does anyone know how to upscale a DVD to HD resolution for a better picture? I just got a 2405FPW 24" Dell LCD monitor and I wanted to know if upscaling to a higher resolution was possible. I've read that using Dscaler or FFdshow or Zoom Player or some combination of tools, that it can be done.

Can't install NVIDIA 81.98 Drivers

What are the latest official drivers that I can download for my card? I mean, even on their website they ask if you want Geforce or TNT drivers, so you'd think (call me crazy) that they'd have drivers for an nVidia card.

Can't install NVIDIA 81.98 Drivers

I can't install the latest (version 81.98) nVidia drivers for my old Geforce2 GTS 32mb. The readme.txt file states that the "NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS" is supported so I don't know what the problem is. Any suggestions are welcome.

Neck Pain

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I neglected to mention that I already have seen a doctor (not a chiropractor) and he said it should clear up in a few days. Unfortunetly, much of the pain is still there after about two weeks, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has any other suggestions.

I want to steal my neighbors internet. I only get crappy Apartment wi-fi that kills all downloads and all I see is 2 other networks that are password protected. Good for them, seriously. People should password protect their stuff. But I know there's somebody who's got an open one around...

Namecheap seems cheaper if you want Whois privacy. I'm at Godaddy.com right now, but I might move everything over to name cheap since they charge only $2.88/year for privacy. While I typed that, Google probably made a million dollars. Just a thought as I try to save $5/year.

Best Software List Ever Compiled...

Bitcomet needs to be on there. I haven't used Bittornado in a while but Bitcomet was better at the time. Acronis True Image is also something that I would never want to be without. Also Partition Magic. And AutoGK. I'm done.

Just to clarify, what does the nU in 6600nU stand for? Non-Ultra? That doesn't make sense since I don't think there is a 6600 Ultra. At least I didn't see one for sale on Newegg.
