I think I accidentally found the answer. I opened up the PC to try the memory hypothesis. Then I noticed there was one unused SATA connector between two used ones. So I unplugged one cable and plugged it in the unused slot, so that the two used SATA slots are now next to each other. This somehow...

I upgraded my motherboard to an Asus M4A78-EM lately. The front panel of the case does not match that of the motherboard. So I splitted the cables, and connect them individually to the motherboard. All went well, until three days later, the machine had a blinking green light after putting itself...

Is my router dying?

My Buffalo WHR-G54S has been fine for two years. Recently, however, my network has started to have some problems. "Server not found" error is often, and happens to random websites. Mostly strangely, when amazon.com cannot be found, cnn.com can be found without a problem at the exact same time...

Well, it could be. But even if I plug in the PSU first, and then to the wall, the PSU light is still off, and system does not boot.

system powerup problem, please help

I noticed something weird about the PSU: when the power cord is plugged in, and the PSU is NOT plugged into the motherboard, the PSU green LED is on. Immediately after the PSU is connected to the motherboard, the LED goes off. Is this normal? Any indications of the kind of problems it has? Thanks.

9-pin front panel connector

The one I linked is the one I want to buy. It has a 24-8 pin front panel connector. The case I already have is the one that has a 9-pin connector that is one piece. It looks like I need to break it into separate wires?

Thanks for the reply. The 9-pin connector is indeed in one piece. If I managed to connect only the power switch, all the lights such as HD LED will not work. But I never thought about "taking it apart". Maybe I should give that a try.

The problem is that the original case already has a 9-pin power switch. These power switches usually come with the case, as far as I can tell. I cannot find any on new egg. Any suggestion where to buy them separately?
