Thanks for the feedback. I am just going to go ahead and take my chances with the latest firmware since the firmware on this "new" drive is the same as the old one. Hopefully I'll only have to RMA one drive instead of two.

Definitely have the 8MB bug. SSD Toolbox showed only 8MB of space on the SSD. Clicked on Secure Erase and my SSD vanished into thin air. Even Disk Manager cannot find the drive. Just finished swapping my laptop harddrive back to the original and am now posting using my other Intel X-25M drive...

If you are going to consider an Intel SSD, please google "8MB SSD Death" before you finalize your decision. Many people (including me), have been having a problem this problem that Intel has been reluctant to fix.
