I think the Nexus program now isn't what it used to be. I actually never purchased a Nexus Device, mostly going to Motorola smart phones, until I got my current GS3.

I've decided to buy a tablet. Any input?

I have the first generation galaxy tab 7 inch. Best purchase ever. If I were buying one now i would seriously look at the Galaxy 7plus. To me no Brainer 7 inch is the sweet spot for tablet size. Much more portable that a 10 inches and if I need something the size of a 10 inches i'd rather use my...

Absolutely the worst outfit on the market. Their support is HORRIBLE and their support representatives hang up on you when they can't resolve an issue they admit is on their end. absolutely the worst outfit imaginable.

7" tablet shopping

I would say a GSM galaxy tab would be exactly what he is looking for. Especially if he wants 3g coverage. I got a cdma galaxy tab from Verizon and its my favorite device. But the GSM tab is easier to root and there are better Roms available for it.

What do you use your tablet for?

I have a galaxy tab original and I use it mostly for browsing but it has also become my primary p&s camera as well as camcorder. It has replaced my laptop at home and on the go has replaced my phone. I'm seriously considering selling my Droid x and replacing it with a feature phone.

One final note from e, I'm also very pleased with the camera and video camera on this device. Because I carry this around everywhere I no longer need a point and shoot camera and it works very well as a camcorder and its not embarrassing to hold IP like the ipad

that's a thought. but 4g is $50.00 / month for data plan and i'm getting the 3g $35.00 / month and frankly, i'll usually be using it wifi anyway, the only time i'll be using 3g is when i'm away for the weekend. or at church. 3g is more of insurance and i'll probably root it and put wireless...

I'm due for a new phone (Verizon)

Why is 1920x1200 being abandoned in the mobile market?

problem with 16x9 is, the height is too short for stuff that's made for the old 4x3. plus, how often on a web page do you scroll side to side, you always scroll up and down. i like taking a 16 x 10 monitor and turning it 90 degrees so that you have a 1200 x 1900 monitor, it's amazing how much...
