Recommendations for fast AND reliable 4GB USB flash drive?

Are the new models more reliable? I like the no-cap idea of the Sandisk flash, but the 512MB titanium died on me after about 1yr of infrequent usage. Many reviews now point to the same thing.

Where did you see numbers to support this? Been looking (though not too hard) without much luck for hard numbers on the new onboard graphics chips.

E4300 Overclocks?

AsusP5B Deluxe OCZ Platinum DDR2-800 RAM Scythe Ninja Seasonic 430W PSU Sapphire X1950XT At 3GHz it was heating up to 65+ degrees on Orthos; most likely the heatsink isn't placed properly (i think one of the holders popped off momentarily while I was trying to wrestle the fan on there)...

Nevermind (Recovering from failed BIOS update? on Asus P5B?)

Please disregard... Dr.Google showed me a workaround (tapping ctrl to load old CMOS settings fixed it, at least it seems that way for the time being) --------- Just finished building my new PC; last step was to update drivers BIOS etc etc. So I downloaded the latest AsusUpdate and flashed...

I just got quite a few parts for a new system, one of them an Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 for use w/ a Radeon X1950XT. Instructions and reviews online say they come with thermal pads; I don't see any on my fan, nor do I see any in the package separately. Do these no longer come w/ the card or...

Thanks for the replies. Guess I will try and see how far the e4300 goes; I was ready to plunk down cash for a diff. processor, but I think the anxiety bug's gone away now. Hell, it sounds like you can get lucky with either chip...

I'm upgrading my PC for the first time in ~2yrs. I don't really plan on upgrading the Mobo/CPU again for quite a while; after reading good things about the e4300 I may have jumped the gun a little too early by ordering one of them for a system I want to have mostly up-to-date for quite a while...

any news on the 2407?

Dell Japan had a sale on the 2407's for 80000yen That lasts till the end of 3/22 in Japan. Around ~$750 for the panels I guess, though they may be trying to boost initial sales is all. While I was looking around for info on the Japanese sites though, I did run into quite a few forum threads...

Problems with mb install, chieftec case.. mystery wires

As long as you got the necessary wires plugged, there's no need to plug in extras like the HDD LEDs and such for operation. Also, if its a Chieftec ( = Antec clone) it might very well be just some connectors for a frontal USB port. Muu

Kg7 raid motherboard won't power up

I have a XP1800+, and was able to get the board setup by manually setting the processor speed on the BIOS. Then again, it's not running well yet so I still have a few problems to resolve :\ Muu

Help! Abit KG7 dying on Windows bootup

Yeah, that's what I've been doing so far. This would be much easier, of course, if my other HDD wasn't dead... Windows 98, by the way, dies as well at certain spots. Is there some sort of stress-test utility I'd be able to run from DOS? I don't think the temperature that I'm getting reported...

What surface do you use for optical mouse?

I use the fUnc pad as well. It's been about 8 months since I got it, tho, and I'm seeing areas where the hard plastic has started to wear off; it's mostly right smack in the middle, and it's definitely gotten smoother there (I use the rough side). Maybe it's time for a replacement, or a time...

Fallout 1 and 2. I saw the package at Fred Meyer's as well. There were other packages like Carmaggedon2 and Whiplash, but for the most part, it seemed that the Fallout package was the best of the lot. I saw Die By The Sword on a pack as well, but I don't remember if that was reviewed as good...

How fast is the drive when not at full speed? 16x? I have a 12/10/32 TDK (rebadged plextor), but I'm finding myself using 4x from time to time so that I can use the PC while it's burning... True, the PC's usable at 12x, but it also becomes as slow as molasses. Muu

There's a little known (in the US anyway) series called the "mysterious dungeon" series that was released in Japan by Chun Soft. To put it simply, they are basically graphically, and gameplay wise, enhanced versions of Rogue. During the transition, the difficulty was not lowered...
