What do you mean by this? There hasn't been any significant news on AMD's next lineup while maxwell is on it's way in 2014. Considering GK110 was released a year ago and AMD has JUST caught up doesn't seem so plausible they already are capable of releasing anything big anytime soon.
I haven't run into a chipset that doesnt prove itself hot to the touch in a while. Both my msi h81-e33, z77 maximus gene, and z87n wifi chipset runs hot. If you'd like just replace the paste on it to drop it a few celcius.
