The LG W2286L caught my eye today because it is a LED backlit screen, the LEd Tv's look amazing though that is apples to oranges. Does anyone have any thoughts on the LED backlit monitors? For me this is for photography so the contrast ratio to display images is appealing.

When looking at the begging of the thread where the recomendations are one other I noticed is that in the photography list there one 24" and the rest are smaller. Is there a reason for the smaller monitors for this type?

More fresh meat to add to this thread. I am monitor shopping. Learned quite a bit from this thread and a couple other sources. I am looking for a monitor for photography something that can show images very well at shows. So for me closeness to the actual image is a necessity...
