I have a asus p5b deluxe motherboard.
I purchased a pentium D 915 which i recently RMA'd.
I RMA'd the processor because the temperature was at a very high 80 degrees celsius on average. Ranging from 76C to 83C and at a one time extreme of 110C (which i immediatly turned the pc off)...

what's the difference here? is a card with opengl 2.0 better than one that has 1.5? the leadtek 6800gt agp looks like it only has opengl 1.5.
does it even matter?

I have an Enermax 430w power supply as stated in my sig.
It is not necassary or sufficent for it to be nvidia. I will also still consider ATI; however, i would like a change in flavor. Getting the samething all the time gets old and boring.

I myself might get the leadtek 6800gt but you want an ATI. I've been looking at ATI's and it looks like the 800XL seems fairly decent and i'vee seen it at about 250.

Refurbs are broken cards or cards that people take back after complaining it was broken. Then they "restore" it which basicly means wrap it up again and resale it as refurb.
The only source i got is the tomshardware VGA benchmarks.
But the X800XL is actually comparaable to the 6800. The 6800 is like 144.
but thats only off of that one source.
well its not the speed that is important to me. What i have now runs everything just fine - just its dieing and I already had to RMA it and get it fixed. So my logic is, whatever it is they fixed, is broke again since i'm getting the same error again.
