Question Cheap graphic card please guide me

That's why I get a 10700. If I cannot get a video card, I will simply use the integrated one.

I suspect it won't go back to normal until Covid crisis gone. With 2 teen kids I never thought I play game again until retirement, and I never thought I would spend around $800 on a video card. But due to stay at home situation, I decided to build a gaming PC to play FPS games, again, after 16...

Question 6900XT, where are the reviews? When can we order it?

I agree 3090 is a rip off. It is for those to show off and brag. I am just a little disappointed with 8900XT, it is more like 3080 than 3090. No wonder its price is more close to 3080 than 3090. Anyway, given RT support and DLSS, I will wait for 3080.

3090 has 2.4x more RAM compare to 3080 and according to Nvidia it can play 8k games. It is in a different league. 6900XT is enhanced 6800XT. So no wonder 6800XT is slightly slower than 3080 while 6900XT is slightly faster than 3080. Considering RT and DLSS, I would definitely pickup the 3080.

I read several reviews. It barely beats 3080 without RT by only 2% at 4k. With RT there is no way it can compete. IMO it should be priced $750 at most.

OK, I give up. My desktop is waiting for 3080 now. It is the 1st time I build a PC for past 10 years, so I don't have a spare card and can only use integrated GPU.

I agree reviews do not matter, but when will it be on sale? 6am EST? I still want to give a try though. Just don't want to pay for fleabay price. I just assume reviews should be out today to prepare for lunch.

Today is 12/7, supposedly we can order tomorrow. But I have yet to find a review, and can we order tomorrow 6am EST? AMD has not lifted embargo of reviews yet? Looks like no one cares. But if we can get this card for $1000, it is definitely better than paying $1500 on ebay right?

Question no overclocking build

Hi, I am in the same position. No OC needed, I will have a free i9-9900. Plan to build a PC without a video card now with lowest cost, but would drop an 3070/3080 when I have money and could get one. I have NVME hard drives, so I need PSU, a CPU cooler (maybe start with stock one?)...

Is 2600k graphics better than X1900 XT?

I used to play games with X1900 XT years ago. I have not played games for quite some time. I just built a PC with 2600k. Wonder if 2600k GPU performance is comparable to X1900 XT. Any idea?

i7 2600k, lowest Vcore for minimum heat?

I have a QX9650 with 1.075v Vcore at stock speed. It runs cool that I turned off the CPU fan. Does any one do this on their 2600K? If so what is lowest Vcore for your CPU? I don't plan to OC 2600k at this time. Thanks. Roy

AsRock, ASUS or ECS? Z68 is not an option! :(

If MB last for one year, it would last for 3 years, if it has solid capacitors. I throw at least 405 boards in past several years, never had failed board.

UPDATE: The ASRock Z68 PRO3-M board arrived yesterday. I built the new PC last night with 2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaw sticks. Yes, both the Intel 775 stock HSF and after market (OCZ?) HSF works without problem (and saves me $40), the display port should work with 27/30 LCD. It also has a eSATA port...

20-pin PSU to 24-pin Motherboard?

Most probably, the 24pin connector splits to 20+4 pin connectors. Check your menu.

2600K or Bulldozer?

Get a 990 board, you might cry when BD is actually out. Get a 2600k, it's fast and Ivybridge won't be out until next early summer.

Depends. If you start from scratch to define architecture, it takes 4 years. If architecture is ready, it should take 2-3 years.

Depends. If architecture is ready, it takes at least 2 years. It not, it would be 3 years minimum. And I don't think either Intel or AMD can achieve that.

Which SB motherboard with display port ?

I am in the same boat with OP, I ordered Asrock Z68 Pro3-M. Yes Dell monitor has HDMI/DVI but the ports won't support higher resolution than 1920x1200. Display port should be able to.

CPU frequency was increased to 3.2G and Pi is 26.7 seconds. Apparently there is a bug.

I think it would cost $50 for 20GB SSD. I would get the MB and add a 40GB mSATA.

No worry. My QX9650 has been running for years with Vcore only 1.075v in BIOS. CPU fan is off now. Super quite.
