Check out tony mac x86 site for info/support for the P55 (i5, i7) boards. The P55 is in the same price range as the UDP3 and are easy to setup, rock solid systems. You will get better performance out of the i5/i7 than the C2D/C2Q cpus.

As previous mentioned I believe the P55 chipset is MORE awesome than the UD3P (I own one, now my wife's). I have replaced my other UD3P with a P55M-UD4 and replaced both my old G31-ES2L with a P55M-UD2. The P55M-UD4 is truly awesome, everything works, sound, lan, sleep, auto sleep, sleep...

That was my point. I didn't consider buying a UD3P when he already owned a P35 mobo a upgrade. And you are correct going the P55 route is a totally new machine.

I suggest not wasting your money on old technology (UD3P, although I have one) but upgrade to what the new IMac's are using...the Lynnfield Core i7 cpu. I like the Gigabyte P55M-UD2 (what I consider the UD3P replacement). Geekbench and real performance about 30-40% greater than the old UD3P...

The posted BIOS settings were for the ES2L, as requested, the UD3P has different BIOS options. If you need help with the UD3P, there are many to choice from. Weaksauce12 for Leopard. Stella's for Snow, see Lifehacker guide. Both are pretty much push button and very well done.
