Upgrade 2500k to 3770?

It is not a k model so I can't overclock via changing the multiplier correct? I also only care purely about gaming and stability.

Disappointed in Nvidia DSR - introduces blur

I think it works pretty nice and gives a visual improvement. I can use it on 95% of the games I own, but games like Rome 2, you get unplayable frame rates. Well at least if you have all the settings maxed like I do. It will hold me over until I buy a 50" 4k tv next year when they come down in...

Using an HDTV as a PC monitor

currently have an nVidia 8800GT

I've played the game on a Radeon 5770 and a Geforce 285 GTX. The 5770 does a pretty good job on medium settings, and the 285 plays well on high. I would imagine a Geforce 260 would play the game well also, and can be had just like the Radeon 5770 for between $160-200 new.

Nvidia threatens partners at CeBIT

Maybe I am a freak, but I sit about 2.5' away from my 42" 1080P LCD which I use as my computer monitor. I got use to it real quick and enjoy gaming on it. I do sit back a ways when I watch movies though.

Xfx 5770

The new open type cooler actually does a better job cooling. I just bought a XFX 5770 with the open type cooler for my other PC I sometimes use, and it's a pretty nice card. It also overclocks better then any other video card I've ever owned, and I've been overclocking video card sine 1995...

Is a Phenom II X2 unlocked == Phenom II X4? and what's with X2 Deneb?

Yea..the first thing I did was try stock speed, and no luck. After trying every tweek I could think of, I just worked on seeing how far I could take the two cores that work.
