I see. I think I figured out why my comp tried to load windows. The 100MB system partition was somehow located on my Storage drive. And I guess the hdd erase wasn't supposed to reset the firmware. I suppose it worked then :)

I'm not sure if HDD Erase worked properly. When I ran the secure erase I get a "General Failure Writing Drive A" error, and it asks me to Abort, Retry, or Fail. Retry doesn't work, when I select fail it says there was an error writing the audit log or something to that effect, but it says that...

Wow, some fantastic information in this thread. Thanks alot everyone. I got alot more help than I ever expected :) I'm going to give sub.mesa's recommendation a try. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

X-25M 160GB noticeably slower

Windows 7 disabled them by default when I installed on the SSD. Also, I believe the 4K read/write speeds are alot slower than they should be. No idea why this is.

About a month ago I bought a new X-25M G2. When I first benched it the speeds were fine, Windows 7 would take about 10 seconds to boot, apps loaded instantly. These days, I've still got about 110GB left on the drive, TRIM is enabled, AHCI has always been on, ran the SSD Toolbox Optimizer...

Does anyone have the new Acer 120hz monitor (GD235HZ)? I know it says it supports NVidia 3D Vision, but was wondering if 3d would work with any ATI card/glasses that could come out in the future. My immediate assumption is that a monitor wouldn't be built to support only 1 brand of 3D, but...
