I misjudged the timing on the release, was 40 minutes late. I think I could have got the 5600X on Newegg since it showed in stock, but... I was planning on a 5950X, So I didn't pull the trigger. oh well, I'm sure stock will back within a few days or weeks :D and my 3700x is perfectly fine. It's...
Incidentally, I found this link today. The article is in Japanese but the slides are in English.
https://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/column/semicon/1236258.html
Look at the bottom of the second slide, "Zen 2 Architecture"
it says "~9% switching capacitance (CAC) improvement over previous...
The analysis section of the paper is talking about Figure 2. Earlier in the paper it says "In Figure 2, both power and performance have been adjusted to factor out improvements due to process technology over time".
So no, they are not saying the i486 is as efficient as a core duo. What they are...
Yea ES are a major PITA to get running and they often have performance crippling bugs if they're early versions. Server grade stuff is so expensive too! But at least you have the onboard BMC, that can be pretty convenient and let you run them headless.
your setup is like this?
cpu1 @ 60C -> corsair rad hot air
cpu2 @ 70C -> enermax rad hotter air
let's assume a steady state where each cpu is producing a certain amount of heat, say X watts for cpu1 and Y watts for cpu2. I'm assuming each cpu's voltage/power supply is equal. With silicon...
Monitors typically have a screen-on-time value in their menus, for instance, so I don't think it would be that crazy for a graphics card to have a run time value stored in its bios somewhere. Not sure why it matters though
Just want to add that, at least in America, any eugenics program would probably be applied disproportionately to minorities just like poll taxes, drug enforcement, voting laws, etc. due to the deep seated racism the country still has problems with.
Also, all this has all been done before...
Yea I went through 3 dashcams (they would last a day or two, then I'd have to return it) before I thought something was fishy and realized that maybe they were overheating in the car. :hmm:
Took my infrared thermometer and measured 190 degrees Fahrenheit (nearly 88 degrees C) on the dash with...
I got the Qnix 2710, and it is excellent!
27 inches and the 1440p resolution make it feel as though you took a 1080p monitor and just made it bigger. Lots more screen space for work! I can have 2 windows open with one on each side much more comfortably than my old 24" 1920*1200 IPS. :thumbsup...
If u want hexcore now look at used xeon x5650s.
You can get them for ~80 bucks on ebay, lots of companies upgrading their servers and tossing them.
I got one and oced it to 3.8ghz.
Not exactly new, but 6c/12t for pretty cheap.
Another distinction between tvs and monitors is that good computer monitors display a 4:4:4 color format. Most broadcast and even Blu-ray content use color compression and are therefore in 4:2:2, or 4:2:0 today, so many tvs only support a similar color format.
Here's a good link explaining the...
Iused to think more dpi is always better but I've changed my mind since hearing how terrible scaling is in windows.
I have heard that windows 10 might have better scaling, but for now the sweet spot for 4k seems to be 32'
24 is way to small imo
PROBLEM FIXED
I went into the BIOS and enabled SLI, and that fixed the problem.
I recently acquired an XFX 750a a72p SLI, Athlon 64 X2 6000+, and 4GB of Corsair DDR2 (4x1GB) from a relative as he didn't need them anymore. To complete the setup I am using my old EVGA 7800GT and OCZ Powerstream...
