The 10GB is hurting my enthusiasm for 3080RTX, I'll have to stick with my 980Ti for now.
A 3080Ti with 20GB for 850~950 dollars is definitely coming later and would have been a "perfect" card if launched now.
The temps you posted seem normal, these are very hot running chips.
The Nvidia reference blower cards quickly hit the 83c temp limit and stay there under load.
From what I can remember, 100% fan speed on the Msi gaming card is still pretty quiet and compared to other aftermarket cards max fan...
I'm sure a 980ti could probably last me until the end of current gen consoles (3-4 years).
It is the new HBM memory interface + die shrink coming next year that has me jealous.
Then again, having the latest tech to play makes the waiting more bearable :)
Wow.
I have the same model in transit from newegg and I'm feeling bummed out for paying 690 for something that might be somewhat obsolete in a years time.
:\
That might be a placeholder price. Keep your eye on it to see if the price will go down to msrp.
Then again, it might sell out before that happens
Microsoft doesn't need to switch from ddr3.
The next Xbox has been designed to over come its bandwidth limitation by incorporating ESRAM on GPU while also having Data Move Engine to help shuffle data around.
While it may require more work form developers/programers it also means that
the next...
They probably want to save the reveal for E3.
The console is still about 10 months away, showing it now might take away from the newness of the ps4 once its launched, or maybe they are still tweaking final look of ps4.
Those screens look pretty normal to me
The youtube videos are probably using texture mods and/or ENB series mods that give the game a totally different look.
My thoughts exactly.
I thought Nintendo was going to come out swinging software wise but their line up is pathetic.
I was expecting at least a 3d Mario game to be shown.
Other than Pikmin 3 (which isn't really my cup of tea anyway) why should I invest hundreds of dollars in hardware...
I was hoping the big N would mention something about the hardware specs in their brief but that is not their style and I doubt that they will mention anything at E3 either.
Hopefully we'll be able to guesstimate the capabilities of the WiiU based on the software shown on the show floor.
I...
Stable OC for me is
132%
+145
+475
That translates into 1215 gpu core clock and 1740 mem clock.
I'm not 100% sure on the stability of the memory but so far no crashes during Heaven benchmark runs and BF# multiplayer matches.
The automatic overclocking is crap.
Water cooled 680 GTX (mcw82)
@ 49c degrees and under = 1202 gpu clock speed
@ 50c degrees and up but below 60c degree = 1228 gpu clock speed
This is while running Heaven benchmark. Edit: Same for Bf3
I'm basically being penalized for keeping my card under...
Came across this.
Alpha colors look so much better.

Thanks.
The whole 680 GTX = 660 Ti has killed a little bit of excitement from me toward the card and something like this would definitely push me over the edge:|
Did the Sapphire 7950 OC edition drop to $479 from $499 or am I imagining things?
If this keeps up all the reference models will be $400 by the end of the week. :D
