What's with the weird game console commercials lately?

Yup, I saw the PS3 one with the baby doll the other day with my wife and we basically looked at each other with a WTF? look afterwards. However, with everything that I've heard and seen about Sony in the past few months, this type of crap doesn't really surprise me. :confused:

I agree with others... try your local Asian supermarket or something like Chinatown. In Seattle's International District, you can get decent ones in a pack of 10-pairs for less than $2, while custom made ones with images/initials could set you back about $10. ;)

That TASER X26C is pretty friggin' awesome; although at about $1,000, I'd really have to think about how serious I am about buying her one of those. Not that I'd put a price on her safety, but if there's other alternatives that are equivalent in terms of safety, I might try those out first...

doze: I've heard that argument before, but it's sounds like a "catch 22". Do you or don't you, but I'm kinda leaning towards at least giving her something to have in case she were ever to need it. Even pepper spray might be worth having, IMO.

WTF is this?! Headphones while driving?

A few years back a study was done on the effects of listening to loud music while driving a car, and they found that people who did so often had a heightened awareness while driving. I'll have to look for those results... ;)

Emmitt Smith's tenure as Dallas starting RB is over

Like I said, he looked good running behind that particular O-line. Someone who achieved more with less and took a lot more hits was Walter Payton, the greatest RB IMHO. Who knows how much more Payton could have of achieved had he been in Smith's position. ;)

I don't know what reviews you read, but this DVD player sucks! Read the reviews on Amazon.com. I personally have one of these; I got it early last year for about $150. It's got a good set of features for the price, but too bad it likes to skip chapters on it's own. I'll be watching a movie...

Pioneer 6.1-Channel VSX-D811S $299@BestBuy

I bought a VSX-811S at BB back in July for $399. It's a decent receiver, with lots of features that you would only find in higher-end receivers that cost at least twice as much. However, like I said, it's a "decent" receiver. For some reason, it just doesn't sound as good as a Sony STR-DE925...

If you put it on, then I can't help you. I had mine professionaly installed, so when it was time to take off, I just took it back to the installer. I think it took them all of four minutes to take it off both side windows, and they did it for free. So, whatever they did, it was fast! Maybe...
