My logic was this:
Memcheck has to be done in cycles, because only one cycle can do 100% coverage of the memory.
The CPU does not work in one big cycle. It runs lots of calculations over and over, in very small, short intervals. If it makes an error in one calculation, LinX will not detect...
I can see the logic in that. But here's my argument:
If your RAM has already been proven stable with HCI memtest for example, then any errors made would be completely CPU dependent. So, if there were any errors made during the calculation, it would accumulate over time and reported at the end...
