PS. My first thought is that it is the non-american notation (so it would be 2.15 in american), but everything else on the computer uses the American standard, so I didn't think that was the case.

Overclocking Temperature

If you read Puget's report on their mineral oil project they make note of that. The fans all burnt out after awhile due to the resistance (mechanical) from the mineral oil; so it didn't make much of a difference in the long run.

What do you mean exactly? The article talks about malware infecting the hypervisor... The hypervisor is just an OS that is optimized to run virtual machines. Not sure how an OS getting infected is anything new.

Battery issue? RAM issue?

You could try, but it probably won't do you any good. You indicate that the battery was failing, and it is possible for a bad battery to prevent a computer from booting. IMHO replace the battery; or the whole thing.

Avoid using simple or dictionary based passwords- this still isn't likely, most reputable email services will lock out brute-force attempts. Don't have security questions set that can be answered with a google search. Don't use the same password for your email that you use for other online...

I agree, had the same sort of issue with an old PC of my parents. Also, disable auto restart on system fail, if you get a BSOD, then its probably a driver or OS issue, if there is still no error (ie. it still immediately restarts) it is probably an issue with the USB/case grounding.

Not saying its not the issue, but I've been using my onboard realtek card for years with no issue :( . At anyrate you could get the event viewer and see if there are any errors showing up in there. Could also run a memtest just for fun.

Does you computer regularly go into Hibernate? I had the exact same problem, turned out that my video drivers didn't play well will hibernate mode, would fail repeatedly (until no recover) after coming back from hibernate.

Samsung HDD doesn't show in My Computer

This Also if you're running Win vista or 7 you may have to 'initialize' it before you can partion/format. I guess they decided the plug-and-play like usage of new drives in XP was too simple.

The drive probably isn't showing up because there are no readable partitions. From the disk management window there you should be able to redo the partitions, or at least format them to a readable filesystem. They should then show up and you can use your recovery program (I like recuva) to find...
