Question For those with a Kingston HyperX Alloy Core RGB Membrane Gaming Keyboard

I can confirm that there is indeed the audible whine when RGB is on. I had mine replaced twice because of this. Like you said, there is no whine when RGB is off and on breathing one color mode.

Comparison of different ASUS P67 motherboards

P67 MB compensation

I went to MC and demanded my compensation too. I told them how this "Intel" chipset fiasco has been a problem to me. I told "MC" to exchange my board and they did so willingly then, I mentioned about the $25.oo credit that was floating around during the recall and how I should be getting one...

Bulldozers Weak/Strong points?

Most robust 1155 Board for around $120?

z68 with Quciksync (H67) and ability to use discreet GPU (P67) and SSD caching (SSDs too expensive still this time for me) but no USB3 capability .... no thanks! I'll stay with my P67 B3.

How much of a gain would an Intel i3 be over an AMD X2 6000?

P67 Sabertooth & 2600K build

I have a 212+ for a push/pull. @OP, how big of a problem I will be running into using the 212+ and access to all dimm slots using 16GB (4GB sticks of 1333 DDR3)? Pics for your cooler + DIMMs proximity if possible. :) Nice build and pics to on your blog!

Spilled isopropyl alcohol on mobo & processor

PC turned off. Let alcohol to dry. They dry fairly easy when in contact with air. Alcohol is a very good electronics cleaner. You should be fine! 90-10, 75-25, 80-20 solutions.

Types of RAM to buy question

8GB is the maximum memory capacity your mobo can only support. e.g. 4 x 2GB using 4 slots = 8GB [within mobo specs] .... will work 2 x 4GB using 2 slots = 8GB [within mobo specs] .... will work 4 x 4GB using 4 slots = 16GB [not going to work] .... not in this lifetime
