Does anyone know the overclockers.com bios settings for 4.6ghz on air

No i,m using the corsair A70 push/pull with 2 sythe 120mm fans im not trying to get any more than 4.6ghz im just trying to get the bios stable at that and try to keep the heat down i know before i reset cmos i never went above 61.c under full load with most of the bios settings set manual now...

recommended bios settings Asus P8Z68V-Pro

Just testing what speed is gets to stable without changing volts or timings, dont plan on keeping at that speed. Been playing with settings a little to try get that 1.310v down a little but no one seems to be able to help me really apart from ask why i want to overclock :(

A little help needed

i am planning on going sli in the next few months and also adding a ssd ive checked the psu it must a crap one as it only cost me £33.98 lol i think ill go for a decent corsair psu this time im sure when its overclocked its not supplyinh enough power

since im new to the i7 i only change the multiplier to x44 leave bclock at stock my vcore is 1.310v and ram is @ stck 1333mhz even tho the ram has a xmp for 1600mhz the psu is a rather cheap one i must admit did not buy a new one for the build to save on money for the i7 and board. ill find out...

hi anandtech, i have upgraded from my socket 775 to a sandybridge i7 2600k specs are in my sig. the problem i am having is getting all the bios setting correct for a decent overclock. i am wanting to get it to around 4.4ghz my cooler keeps it in low 60's using prime95 but i keep getting workers...

What was your first overclock?

my first overclock was on a asus p5q deluxe board using a q6600 chip and 4gb kingstan hyperX ram 2.4ghz to 3.4ghz ran like a dream untill i upgraded to the sandybridge i7 where i am now having problems with graphics when oc think my psu is on the brink cos i keep losing singal and get a driver...

thanks for all the reply's but come one look at the bios settings ive posted and just hlp me tweak them to get 3.7ghz my temps are are not a problem. just want to squeeze an extra 100mhz ot of it. appreciate yor time and help.

i know i thought that cos i was having problems with heat then i took the board out completely changed to arctic 5 ceramic lapped cooler and fitted as carefully as i could. And i was amazed i was getting high temps of 60-70.c small fft's at 3ghz and mid 40's idle. i use core temp and real temp...

Well no luck staying stable at 3708mhz, had to drop down to 3690mhz 410x9 vcore is at 1.488v could do with a little help tweaking settings want to try go for a personal record which is 3708 so far. So... Calling on all you superclockers out there HELP! :D

ok so far got 3708mhz 412x9 ' 1.496v teps now at load doing blend are 60,63,662,61 but shuold go down a but more once paste has cured 59-100 hours? opps 2nd test jumps tems up tp 67,67,67,67 on blend but back down to low 60's high 50's so fr iver only added ram volt to 1.9 since its over 400mhz...

ok i will disablw v-droop and try for 425x9. i will soon a be upgading the the 1-5 2400k with same maker motherboard deluxe version and some g-skill ram. but any comments on the 3.7-3.8ghz mark wud be good as my temps are really good rite now idle 32,33,34,34 idle 49/50 /53/54 load blend prime...

Ok so i tried to lower volt to 1.4v can boot fine but can run any test on prime95 bsod straight away. Here are my bios settings to give you some idea. Can only mange to pass prime95 all tests at 1.448v and since i dont know much about the clock skews, ai booster or cpu gtl ref's i dont mess...

I have now managed to get it down to 1.448v and can run all torture tests on prime95 temps never go above 59.c and run at 29.30.c idle. But bios it showing 1.5v i think it under volts

the Q6600 was new i found it by sheer luck at a computer fair that comes my way sunday of every month. It was unsealed in retail box clean as a whistle.

Hell. ok so i got a new q6600 which was giving me problems with heat trying O.C and had the same sort of problems with the old one untill i bought a new OCZ Gladiator and installed with arctic 5 ceramic by taking board out and fitting as properly as i could and well i was astonished my temps...

Hey, yes the ram is 780mhz which kept it at 1:1 ratio temps are 29-32.c idol and max is 67.c under full load doing large fft's prime95 core 4 only other 3 are 55-59.c I mainly use for gaming with 2 EAH5870's @x8x8 so normal temps when gaming are usually mid 40's. had blend running now 36 hours...

ive managed to get it stable now @3120mhz at 1.360 vcore any less would crash after 3 tests of blend prime95 but had to keep ram 1:1 ratio making it it 390mhz which is well under the specs for the ram is that ok? If i try set ram manually it just crashes so had to leave on auto. Everything else...

Overclock Asus HD5870 v2 with voltage tweak

Hi all, I have just purchased 2 Asus ati 5870 and i need some help reaching the 1ghz o.c on the gpu core. i am running 3 x Samsung 19" monitors at 1920x1080. They are the v.2 with voltage tweak and so far can only manage 950/1250 on both cards. They run pretty cool 29.c idol and never seen past...

Thank you for your help everyone, i am going to strip the system and sell everything bar the gpu and build a core i7 system got around £500 + what i get for my scraps £900 if i lucky with that. Is there a thread for help building a gaming system here anywhere for that?
