I pulled an old 40gb fujitsu out of a hp nc6000 and it only has the ata pins no molex or power plug.
I want to put it in my pc but not sure if a ide cable will run it.
here is a amazon link to what the pins look like if anyone is confused...
I assume you are running 1 4gb stick and 2 2gb sticks.you need to run matching pairs like 2x2gb ,2x4gb or 4x4.
If the 2x2 sticks match you can run them or just the 1 4gb.
it is most likely the memory like erenhardt said, i have run 4 sticks once 2x2 and 1x1 and my system started crashing and...
I have had this issue on a 5600+ windsor and a phII 955 x4 with stock heat sinks.
They both started over heating at 70c under mid load around 2 years after I got them and the heat sinks get hot and replacing the thermal paste with noctua nt-h1 makes little difference.
my athlon is running...
If you are a dinosaur like me and still think N64 graphics look good then yes.
I will spare you all the wall of text and just say for me modern graphics lack imagination and just don't appeal to me.
It is probably the moving parts in the tank.
In the back of the toilet is a hose with a valve on it just close the valve to turn the toilets water off. Take the lid off the tank and scoop some of the water out with a cup or pitcher
then pull the arm with the float up and down and see if that...
I run debian as my main OS on 2 systems.

I don’t think its the processor, but It could be the motherboard.I still run my amd athlon64 dual core which is way slower then the g3220 and I don’t get any such issues.
you could also try a different hdd or ssd and see if it changes anything.
You could try another gpu,it might be the quadro nv450 probably doesn’t support some of the open gl effects in compiz. I would try turning some of the open gl effects off from compiz settings managers.
I am running 14.04 with unity just fine on my q9550 4gb and GTX 260.
Even if intel is in bed with the NSA all hours of the day so is your isp.
Not much you can do other then cancel your internet and shield your computer room so wifi cant get in.
edit: i guess shivansps beat me to it.
Thanks lxskllr,
I searched around and didn’t expect to find much, but I found that alot of people had bios issues with this board and the evga version.
I didn’t think it was the bios because I had already set them to defaults a week ago.
But I decided to try the clear cmos button...
I installed 7.4 with ethernet unplugged and it still doing it,so I figured lxskllr was right its a hardware problem.
I brought my hdds and debian down to a friends house to try installing it with his comp and it works fine on all 3 drives.I think the problem is my motherboard chipset is...
I meant resets as in hitting the reset button or ctrl alt delete.
The partitions are
/ root ext3, set at 40gbs sda1
home ext4is 80gbs sda5
swap is 2gbs sda6
yes I tried a 200gb ide and 2 320gb satas.
I had debian 7.4 running fine on a old 80gb sata for about a year then the drive died.
I have been getting grub and initramfs errors at boot on a new install of debian.I have tried to figure out the issues for 2 weeks now and I need help.
Debian does boot but only have 8 to 15 rests,I don't have any other hdds plugged in so its not a multi boot issue.
The errors I get are...
I dont mean to step on anyones toes but The issue I have with Canonical is inconsiderately having auto enabled malicious feature or features especially to people who are unaware.
I agree microsoft and apple are much worst in the fact that you have no option.
I just don't feel i will ever...
I may seem harsh but but I find them to be a bit deceptive and the fact that they try to put money before freedom bugs me.
Some may say I am paranoid but I dont even trust nvidia drivers when ethernet is plugged in so I run my 3d workstation offline.
I just have the standard debian 7.1 and 7.5 which I have heard the linux kernal has non free parts so I don't think it is all libre. Most of my machines I haven't installed anything non-free and still run the packaged nouveau drivers. My work machine is not so free as it has the proprietary...
Thats why I stay away from Canonical now days. Trisqual and GNewSense don't work well on my machines so I am stuck with debian. If worst comes then I will just walk away from technology and put my effort into perfecting my pottery and masonry.
I have a 320gb passport and yeah they don't last long.I had mine about 9 months and it still works but it clicks then dismounts after 3 mins.
If it is just a sata drive inside with an adapter I might try using sata.
yup most people are assholes and I agree with you, people buy into convenience too much and are lazy.not trying to argue or discriminate but I find it sad that they are so weak that they feel everything must be in a can or instant.
He's been gone for a wile and I've been disappointed cause the forum just feels dead with out him.
Hopefully he returns soon because atm jesus's middle name is hume thread is the only thing keeping me in the forum and idk how long it will last.
running an old pentium 3 ,pentium 4 and 2 939 althon64 dualcores
I still run my old 20gb seagate IDE its served me for 14 years now.
Have a few maxtors and seagates from early 2000s that i uses off and on.
Oldest one that still works is an old Japanese drive from 1996,but I retired it a few...
The system most likely shut its self down before any damage happened.Overheating may have caused minor degradation but I wouldn't worry unless you start getting blue screens.
yeah I got a win 98se disk from a friend a few years ago and installed it on my athlon x2 5600+ and man it was fast.Only issue is no drivers and I couldn't get ethernet working.
It only supports 128mb per dimm and has 3 slots so 384mb is the max.
specs are here if anyone wants to look

I have rented out and sold houses many times.Renting the house can become a mess real fast, you are better off doing a bit of DIY repairs and selling. You should try to get more then or near what you paid for it after DIY repairs.
2am I am usually working on 3d art, programming or drinking.Tonight its drinking otherwise I probably wouldn't be replying to this.Fapping session starts at 6am ends at 12pm.
3ds max, maya and most proprietary software wont work on linux its windows only and maybe apple.
For 3d modeling, rendering and compositing in linux the common applications are blender and wings 3d.
Ubuntu and linux mint are the most popular at the moment because they offer alot of non-free...
Vary interested as it would really bring back childhood memories of the 90s. I miss gaming in the 90s it was much more exciting then today.
The future of gaming became meh after 2004.
