Not going to happen; Nvidia had to lie about having Pascal for their Car showing; Samsung has only just barely ramped up HBM2 production on their side in the last month and half.
The entire industry has already said 16ff+ is 3-6 months behind Samsungs 14nm.....they've talked about replacing...
Fiji was compromise as 20nm wasn't delivered so they had to put something together. They know where the bottlenecks are in the design and allowed them to work the kinks out with HBM memory.
GCN has been great design and extremely forward thinking; only now are we really starting to see just...
He's already got 390 MSI which is a great card :) he's redoing his loop which is the smart thing to do and gotten a great card :)
If patterns continue; 390 is smarter choice as it will out last 970 as we've seen AMD cards see to be getting faster over time compared to Nvidia; specially since...
which is more important; 3d work or gaming? If you're going to end up serious about 3d work you'll want to end up going with a pro card because of the driver hooks.
Maya and lightwave use opencl far more than cuda so you'd be better with an AMD card 390 very solid card......but if you're...
amd tends to properly estimate their power and Nvidia under estimates their power.
390 is 220w card roughly so they'll over estimate what you need to run it. If you have a solid build 500w psu you're fine
as I said that's thermal tape and not tim.....get heatsinks on them. Second wth are you running furmark its literally useless power virus. It doesn't reflect actual real world performance.
none usually specially after the nightmare that was Norton 360; I'll install adaware; malwarebytes; for alittle while to test while having MSE.
Only viruses I end up with is ones my kids end up getting because they don't realize yet not to click on crap. They are all on their own standard...
never put tim on vrms; always used thermal tape with heat sinks with possible fan over them.
why thermal tape is used as using tim on the vrms could lead to a short out. get bigger heat sinks if needed and ghetto fan mod.
What were you doing to hit that temp?
Just reread........get some...
if he's trading and getting money for 980......I'd say depending on how much he's getting for it....if its 390X plus 50+ dollars......go for the trade....
if its less than that; then no....
I swear people forget just how damn good AMD is at hiding information on their graphics.....AMD has said they will do a product stack out to make sure they in back to school.......
we know 2 chips will be here for 2016; their could be a third; we know of small; we know there's a bigger...
well as someone posted out in its own thread; I'll put this here also......Big Polaris was also spotted at CES.......thus putting more into my theory we'll see them sooner than later ;)
http://www.tweaktown.com/news/49581/enthusiast-version-amds-next-gen-polaris-spotted-ces-2016/index.html
I think its also realistic for big Polaris; but for little; you don't show of prototypes at a major event if you're not going to launch in next couple months......;) Specially if they need a respin - which looks like they don't. I'm more than confident to say we should say small Polaris...
For graphics it can be as early as 6 months; with reports that AMD is about 2 quarters ahead on node shrink; Nvidia's never been good at node shrinks.
We could easy small Polaris as early as march/april and big around June. AMD's said their target is to have full stack out for back to school...
where in Europe?? UK pretty much agreed 390 over 970 now....i3 very rarely beats 8350 at 4.5 ghz......but you should be able to get it up to 4ghz which helps.
Also what res will you be gaming at......390 at 1080p is a wash with 970 but going to 1440p 390 is faster.
we also have to consider...
Here are a couple to look at.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/XFX-Radeon-HD-R7850-Ultra-OC-Edition-Ghost-Graphics-Card-1GB-DDR5-FX-785A-ZN-/252240647881?hash=item3abab6d6c9:g:j6gAAOSwX~dWjcWQ...
you can find 7850s 1G and 7870s G1 for under 50....the 2G version around 50-70 dollars;
Now if you don't want used; 370 is best card in price range for 110.
Yep its a jump; but for 50 he's going to pretty much need to go used for best card in that price range. if he's going to stick to 50ish...
Ah Euro; depends on where you buy from are in Europe are you? I can see if I can find anything better; UK slightly better as prices don't flux as much as they do depending on which country you are in the EU :D
Honestly 380 is better overall card over 960; but at 720p not sure it make huge...
This; what you'll want to do and do a slow overclock; looks like you might of found the spot you're getting negative return.
So dial it back a little bit on memory and core; then test.
the problem is nvidia has their own issues with multi monitor; and sli just isn't has fast as crossfire when they are both working.
as I said I'm wondering if its not a driver issue but controller issue with the monitors; is there any new flashes for the monitors?
Karlitos; you can also tweet AMDMatt; if you have an account at OCUK; can send him a trust message as he's support and AMD and runs a few different system set ups; and eyefinity also.
He might know what's going on or some work arounds; also have you check to for any updates for your monitors as...
Also reworked Fury could easily be used; people are confusing.....Fury is just the gpu chip; its not tied to hbm 1; as the memory controller could also run hbm 2.....wouldn't be a problem to use a reworked fury with hdmi 2.0a and 1.3 dp......as mid end chip.
but from what little we have...
We don't talk about 4th ;) 5th well as I said was created with crpgs and mmos in mind; that's why Neverwinter uses it; and fairly well....
6th or whatever it will be.....takes the best from other dnds; things that worked well; and discards the stuff that didn't and stuff from things like...
drivers; update your intel drivers and should be able to get it back. I've had this happen a couple times - also see if you can flip it into that mode through win short cut
what games? depending on the settings; texture packs and etc; some games can come extremely close to real life; but to get that you're looking at 3-5 frames......:D
What areas if you don't mind as i've got a 290; run skyrim without major issues with several mods; including high rez texture mods *have to have those imho* would love to see if I can replicate those.
Second at this time 960 2gb isn't a good buy either way with way things are going; specially...
depends on the programs; Solidworks without a doubt is faster on AMD hardware same with Creo. I've not checked autocad for a long time; but most Cad programs have moved towards opencl.
I'd wait for AMD hardware solution to come out and see how that works; as grid has major security issues as...
