    I'm with the possession argument. An acquantaince of mine had a laptop that totally screwed up every time she was near it. When I ran diagnostics and re-installed everything it ran fine. I hand it over to her and instant blue screen of death. Totally weird.

    If you're into classics, read Dumas, especially the Count of Monte Cristo. It's a terrific book--my all time favorite. Just make sure you get an unabridged edition, like the Modern Library one.
