Do I need an adapter for this powersupply to this board?

You should not need anything extra to connect this PS to this motherboard. The PS says it is P4 compatible which means it will have the 12 pin + a 4 pin connector.

It is normal but I think it is fixable with the newer bios's. Update to the newest bios and follow what AyashiKaibutsu said.

Is this RAM gonna work for me?

If you are going to get ram, this is excellent stuff. At preasant, I run two sticks of the OCZ 3500EL 256mb and it works great on my A64 3000+. In fact, I can get it to 230 mhz with stock voltage 2.5 on a Gigabyte K8ns pro. Great stuff. victor

Bad Video Card or MOBO?

Sounds like you may have installed the wrong AGP driver for the motherboard. Unfortunately, you will probably have to re-format and re-install windows to clear it up. It has an Intell chipset so make sure you do not accidentaly install Nvidia or Via agp drivers.

GA k8NS Pro

Any 4 or 8 x video card should work fine with this board. It is not 3.3 volt compatible, which means you cannot utilize an older 2 x AGP card. I would go for the 9600 pro, as it has excellent graphics capabilities (2D and 3D) so if you did decide to play a good game once in a while it would...

Here are the drivers. There is even one for XP 64 that works fine. Make sure you put the entire driver on the floppy, as the directions state, or it will not work. Great board so far. I have had it for about 2hrs now and Win XP64 is running very fast on it...

Voodoo 3000 gets HOT!!!!

Not to mention the die process. The old voodoo cards use like a .28nm process. The new cards use .13. That in itself will allow the chip to run much cooler. You could actually run a 9800pro with no fan (not a good idea, but possible with good case cooling).

Cheap DVD burners?

The new Benq is dual layer capable with a firmware update. I would get that one just because it's more future proof than any other drive on the market at this time.

Drivers for NEC 2500A

It is one of the best drives for writing dvd and cd but it is not a very good reader(does not do well with scratched discs). If you care more about writing, this is the drive to get.

Minolta DiMage Z1 or Canon Powershot A80 ??

I like the Z1. 10x zoom is nice to have at sporting events and such. It depends on what you will use it for, if portraits only go with the A80 and if for everything else go with the Z1.You never know when you will need the 10x/40x zoom . I have taken many pictures at full 40x and all of them...

uninstall the video driver, reboot, install nForce II AGP driver, reboot, install DX9b,reboot, install newest video card driver. Give that a try, it can't hurt. Victor

Bluetooth help

You can, however, the internet speed will be hampered on the laptop. I would use two 802.11b cards and get the full speed out of my internet connection as well as file transfer speed. A bluetooth connection is very slow in comparison to 802.11b (1/11th) or thereabouts. If your cable connection...

Unfortunately retail movies are not burned. They are pressed. You may find that your Toshiba does not support either format but if it does support any it would probably be - R only. Toshiba's are very picky. I have the Pioneer DVR-105 and have had no problems with it to this point burning...

When do the Cat 3.3s coem out?

The 3.3 cats have been canceled for unknown reasons, however, the 3.4 cats are due out on May 12th-15th. I was unable to download the 3.3 cats from that website, if anyone has them perhaps they would let me download them. Thanks Victor

Building a new Asus A7N266-VM AA

Give this one a try. I have used it on several lower priced builds I have done and the included 300w ps has worked perfect every time. A couple of those builds were with the A7N-266. Text First one from the top.

Which is the better upgrade? XP2100 (rev b) with PC3000/3200 ram or XP2400 with PC2700?

Go with the 2100+ and OCZ EL 3500 c2. Then you can overclock the crap out of it. I have my 1700+ revB at 2.2 ghz running stable as heck.

A7N8X Bios Update: Use AWDFLASH or Asus Update utility

Asus update works great, DON'T BE AFRAID. I have used it for every bios update they have come out with and have yet to see a problem.
