Question Computer won't start

So there is no CPU_OPT on my board. And the CPU fan was indeed plugged into the CPU fan header, not a chassis fan header.

I saw that post about the fan header. I'll double check that. Never had anything even show up on the screen, no install to redo.

Curved Monitor...yes or no

That's what I was starting to think. Do you wish you had 1 or 2 ultra wide curved monitors, or are you happy with flat panels?

Curved Monitor...yes or no

How many of you have experience with curved monitors? And would you recommend getting one? I believe wholeheartedly that for TVs, curved is a gimmick, but I'm not sure about on a PC. And I'm more interested in 2550x1440 curved, but that doesn't seem to be available, does anyone know why? Thanks...

File server vs NAS

Thanks for the reply. Any thoughts on RAID5 on Windows? Suppose I bought an Asus board with RAID support and ran Win7 on it. Seems like it would be plenty stable, but the only experience I have is with my current setup, 2 Velocirators in RAID0.

DVD converting...

Wow...you guys are so over my head with this stuff. OK, I use Handbrake to encode...but what is this sourceing thing I need to do beforehand with avisynth?

Forgive my newbieness...but I can't get it to open more than one .vob at a time...ideally I don't want 7 little movies, but 1 full size movie.

DVD converting...

I tried Handbrake using a folder on my C: as source and it would not work; smart ripper was used to rip to hdd. The garbled video was from transcoding from the disc itself.

Mobile Phenom II?

It's already available from HP's site on a couple of their laptops. I was wondering why we don't see any tests on it yet...any ideas? Should be a viable less expensive alternative the the i5 for entry level gaming rigs...I read it'll be up to 3GHz for the x2 and 2GHz for the x4.
