Buying License Packs for Office

I'd love to get 2010, but I have a Nortel Program that isn't compatible with it that makes heavy use of Outlook. I need to find a test version of 2007, which is supposedly compatible with the program. Any ideas?

Display Port - Two Monitors

On the graphics card, I have 1 DVI out, and 1 DP out. On the monitors, I have 1 DVI in, and 1 VGA in. They're fairly late model Samsung monitors - 2243's.

If you were looking to buy 15 licenses for Office 2003, where would you do it? This is for an actual office, so student/academic versions won't work. Or am I stuck with 2007?

Where can I find dual displayport adapters for 10 bucks? The cheapest I'm seeing them is $60ish... and I would love to have dual display port to dvi adapters for $10!

Hello, I'm running the same graphics card in several systems at my office, and the users all need dual monitors. I know display port allows users to daisy chain at the monitor level. However, what I'm wondering is if there is a less costly converter available to spit the signal to two DVI's...

Dumba** 7 ? about taskbar, icons, and favorites....

As far as I know, you hide the taskbar the same way you did in XP. Right click -> Properties -> Auto-Hide the taskbar. Any time you drag something up there, you pin it. It is shortcuts. Although with the ability to hit the windows key and type exactly what you're looking for, mouse movements...

My Windows 7 is not genuine

I hate that when I call Comcast, or AT&T - or any other data vendor. I understand why they do it though. In my office, reboots fix 80% of all problems with user's computers. :hmm:

Win 7 64 bit vs 32 bit

I've heard that the 64 bit version of windows shines at 8gb and up. This seems to be confirmed in my office - I have some users who have 4gb (me! :mad:) and some with 8. Their systems are much better performing when I benchmark.

Thanks, I went ahead and got the systems. :) I think I'm seeing a DP -> HDMI adapter listed in the build sheet for each system, so I don't think I'll even have to buy that. :) Is display port "the standard?" I thought that my laptop (M4400) had an HDMI port in the back, but now I'm wondering...

I've been playing around with this. It is pretty powerful! I'm wondering if I should realistically just set everything up in the Virtual PC, instead of having mixed environments. The reason being we cut and paste between a lot of programs. I need to further test this, with dual monitors...
