another problem that only happens with win2k and my USB Scanner: sometimes the thing will scan through completely, most of the time, it locks up - I unplug scanner and it works again.. takes like 3-4 tries to scan. My USB mouse stopped working also.

is this a southbridge related problem? I can't to burn cd on the fly with win2k - keep getting buffer underuns - burns fine with win98. Burning from image works also.

damn.. my pcmcia ETAK just came.. should I keep this crap or return it?

Canon's dumb site keeps ggiving me errors.. when the site does work, it tells me I have an invalid serial number or I'm already up to date with the firmware (which I'm not..)
