I'm in my 30s and I would feel bad doing that to animals in a game. This comes from someone who actively hunted when I was younger. I knew the differences between animal torture and "hunting", though I don't choose to hunt anymore.
Honestly, it would bother me to see a young kid do this in a game.
Based on CR's explanation of the flight computer and the fact that he personally uses a 360 controller, I doubt SC will require anything unusual. I've successfully flown in the Ilium level in a hornet with the 360 controller and it works great.

Pretty sure you can't carry cargo so it's not really much advantage. At some point you'd have to fly a real ship or you'd just be aimlessly traveling around on shuttles...
Flying a 12x class-3 Realiator isn't going to be a solo pwn machine, it will take a highly skilled crew. Imagine losing just the guns alone without insurance...
This game is pulling the Role Players from the woodwork. I think you're going to find more RPers and those who never play "traditional" mmos than WoW players.
CR has covered this many times. There is no delay, because they are releasing the game in modules. Yes, the overall game will take longer, but no game launches with all "future" content and DLC.

The ships that you get from pledging are not "real money bought" ships in the same sense as a Pay2Win game. They are thank you gifts for pledging. It may look the same, but the distinction is important. Chris Roberts has said that ships will never be bought with real money outside of pledge gifts.
I think it was worth 14 bucks. I've had a blast playing it and it's better than the grim dawn alpha. It's not super long and the loot becomes a bit stagnant after a while but the art, skills progression and story are amazing for a 14 dollar game.
Wow, no mention of the X series yet? IMHO it's the best of the 4x games. I'd skip the previous titles and go to the latest. Egosoft does a great job with their games, though there is a bit of a learning curve.
I wasn't as good as Mercenaries, which was surprising. They removed some of the best features of Mercenaries and change much of the mechanics that made the first game so much fun. The "quests" became very boring and uninspiring.
Mercenaries on the other hand is still in my top 5.

Short answer: they unfortunately aren't canon. Even though some amazing fiction was written for the universe, Lucas pissed all over it when he made the new movies and has a firm stance of disregarding all EU content.

As everyone knows, the Jets in BF2 had a much further view distance than the lock-on range of the AA. This made the AA useless as it was out-ranged every time by a decent pilot. Any who says otherwise must have been playing POE where they actually balanced Air.
