I'm so confused as to which monitor I should get

I would go for a 27" IPS 1440p monitor; it's the perfect combination. Text is still too small on a 27" 4K monitor; I would at least do a minimum of 32" or higher. You'll most likely have to use Windows Scaling on that 28" Samsung 4K monitor.

Mouse feet thickness

Is your mouse scrapping on the mousepad or desk you're using? If it doesn't then I wouldn't worry about it. I got replacement mouse feet for my old MX518 and the thickness is less than the default ones like yours, but the mouse slides more smoothly. I'm satisfied with them.

Wireless keyboard Logitech MK270 is GARBAGE

I use the Logitech K360 wireless keyboard and the Logitech G602 wireless mouse. They both have latency issues until I used USB extenders for both USB dongles. I'm pretty sure I have interference somewhere near my desk.

I have a Corsair Carbide 200R and it's pretty nice for around $50. It has a simple, clean look and none of that flashy stuff. 300R is another good option for a slight increase in price.

Corsair Carbide 200R: Standoff Problem?

Motherboards are pretty durable; I wouldn't worry so much about the weight of the CPU cooler. My ASRock Z87 Extreme4 motherboard is thinner than other motherboards in its class, but I'm able to use the CM Hyper 212 EVO with no problems. I have a Corsair Carbide 200R with the CM Hyper 212 EVO.

Actually with the 200R you can just snap in four 2.5" SSD/HDDs above the 3.5" HDD cage without any tools. If you look closely at my photo you can see the Samsung 840 EVO installed above my 3.5" hard drive.

I don't think GPS will ever work without a data plan on a mobile phone. So don't be expecting that as a bonus. You can probably download offline maps and use that for directions as an alternative.

How are you comparing the iPhone 5 in landscape mode to an Android phone in portrait mode? That doesn't make any sense. You also have to scroll left and right on an iPhone 5 if you pinch-to-zoom; same thing applies to the S3. They both can do fullscreen in landscape mode...

I do agree with you that it's tougher to reach the notification bar and the address bar in the browser. I usually have to switch my hand position and grip both sides of the S3 to have my thumb reach the top of the screen instead of gripping the bottom of the S3 for normal usage. It was tough for...

Diagonally 4" doesn't mean it's the exact same screen size. I'm pretty sure the Galaxy S3 mini and iPhone 5 screen size is different if you measure them by length and width. It's like you are saying that a 23" full screen monitor has the exact same screen size as a 23" widescreen monitor...
