    HELP! Does anyone know how to adjust Widescreen resolution?? it wont stay in the correct aspect ratio

    I have a compaq laptop with the widescreen display, and i cant decrease the resolution on it without the stupid computer reverting back to a standard 3:4 ratio.... which doesnt fit correctly on the screen. If anyone knows how to manually set a resolution, or has any insight, please help me...

    i get a CMOS read error, followed by Loaded Defaults. and then the next screen is just the blinking curser. C'mon, anyone know how to differentiate between Mobo failure and chip??? im guessing CMOS would indicate the mobo, not sure though

    dont bother reading it all the way through, just screw around with your computer until you break it, spend hours trying to fix it, consult the book when you need it, and eventually you'll learn everything from first hand experience.

    I have a usb DSL modem, and pacbell wont let me trade it in for a network compatible one that uses an rj-45 jack and then plugs into a NIC card. Is there any way I can connect my usb modem to my Netgear rt314? or do i have to buy a new modem all together? :frown:

    take the heatsink off, place a some uranium 236 on top, then place C-4 around the uranium and your processor in an evenly dispersed soccerball-like formation, then crush the uranium by detonating the C-4 in a shaped charge - creating a nuclear reaction... ;)

    ok, in anands review of the msi pro2, he he points out the dled contoller chip, however on my pro2a, there is no such chip or jumper... is this case with all of the pro2a's? I havent had a chance to test the sound functions yet, but as soon as i get my processor i can see for myself.

    I just bought the FOP32-1 from nerdsbyte.com, the TaiSol is a great heatsink, but it wont fit without some modifications with a hacksaw.

    i was going to order a TaiSol cgk74..or whatever it's called, but after taking measurements i found that it would hit the coiled power stepper (cant remember the name for it, but it steps down the current).     thanx for the info, i have a conductive pen, and the tbird is in the mail... so I'll be ready when i get it. I was looking at the bridge connnections on Tom's site where he changes the L6/3/4 to get get a desired clock speed, but it would be a lot easier to just connect all of the L1 bridges...

    Anyone know if the Taisol CGK74 will fit on the MSI K7T Pro2A??? it is 60x80wide. Anyone had any experience with the TaiSol, is it better than the competition? If it doesn't fit, which is better, the Alpha 6035 or the GlobalWin FOP32-1. Thanx.
