    Why locked my thread?

He did not have the right to lock my thread. The power Yes, but not the right. I think there is a word for abusing power. D:

    Why locked my thread?

You might as well have moved it to another section. people talking the walk all the time, I wanted to see how many would actually walk the walk. In my eyes you just lost your legitimacy and right to even mention the name AMD. If you disagree with a mods decision there is a...

Just saying you'll help, won't cut it. Show some qualification. If AMD goes BK under you, you'll probably get shot by a radical enthusiast. Still interested?

    x86 is history

This may or may not be off topic, but I'd like to know if it is beneficial for the users, industry, and software developers to have many cpu architectures and operating systems.

    No beep

Thanks. :) Beep( 750, 300 ) works on soundcard. But not on mainboard speaker, which is where I want it to work. MessageBeep does not work at all. maybe someone in the know will take the bother and write an app which allows mainboard beep to be used again.

    Ancient vs modern data storage

I thought it would be taken as an attack. It was not meant as such. I know a lot of people who say from time to time that they are gods, but it is usually taken as a joke or something. and they only do it among friends. You don't go out and say to strangers, hey I am god. And if you do then you...

    Ancient vs modern data storage

It seems that you have misunderstood my point. Sorry if that is the case. I am not saying we should go back to the caveman tech, rather improve on his technical heritage. If his carvings could last 10000 years, ours should last 1000000 years. What we have now is not true technology, as it is...

    Ancient vs modern data storage

First off, I have a serious problem with your avatar, where you declare yourself as god. Do you mean that, or is it just bs, because if your avatar is bs, I have no way of talking to you in a proper manner. so you, as an individual with a right to talk and express himself, must explain what that...

    Ancient vs modern data storage

Your points have been taken. When we find something made thousands of years ago, we value them and have lots of museums dedicated for those objects. But would anyone say that thousands of years from now, people will care for our objects? I really doubt it. It will likely be the opposite. "How...

    Ancient vs modern data storage

My question is, is what we call progress really what it is? Thousands of years ago, our ancestors used stone and nail to store information, which after so much time is still perfectly legible. Look at the junk we have now called hi-tech. leave the drive unused for a few years and all info is...

not really gut feeling. some knowledge can not ( easily ) be expressed in words. ( intuition maybe? ). that is what I mean. Everything you said is absolutely correct. But I still don't respect this tech. why? I'll giver you no reasons because you'll destroy all my reasons anyway. I think the industry is better seved concentrating on a better tech. IBM was doing some stuff with magnetic ssd which sounded good. I...

I am with tweakboy on this subject. I think I'll skip nand based ssd altogether. While they are rather good for laptops and such, they are not fit for desktops and will never be. they are made of some sort of chemicals with extremely short write/read cycles and they are verrrrry slow as well...

    How to GetClassName
