I should say that it passes the first stage of installation but after it restarts (where the Windows 2000 Splash would normally be seen) it doesn't find a bootable hard drive.
I have since tried as a test to install Win2000 on these drives when they are not using RAID and that works.
I purchased a new PC to act as a file and application server.
The setup is as follows:
A64-3200 Venice
DFI LanParty nF4-D (4 SATA ports tried both combos 1&2,3&4)
2 gb RAM
2x250 WD SATA
I am trying to setup RAID1 with the 2 drives. I have both the disk providing with the motherboard...
That would be assuring if it were true. I 'm not so sure though.
I credit George Bush with appealing to this to get elected. I don't believe him when he says "God talks to him". But I think he is smarter than we give him credit for and uses these things to appeal to the top of the bell curve...
Either way you look at it, a country that places more value on religious faith (8% on exit polls) than intelligence (7%) in selecting its leader might be headed the wrong way.
I have decided that because this person wants TV out, I will get a GeForce2 TI 64mb MSI w/VIVO. This card is $44 shipped on Pricewatch. I am not ordering until Monday so if this is a bad idea let me know.
Which is a better buy a Geforce2 GTS 64mb for $38 or the card mentioned above?
thanks
I recently put together a PC out old spare parts for a friend. I have everything but video card. What <$60 card would give the best performance for a PC with these specs:
Pentium III 550
Abit BX6 (maybe BE6)
256 MB PC100 RAM
I have a Riva TNT card I could put in it, but was thinking a GeForce2...
It was Microsoft Proxy Client software installed...I was not here when it was setup so didn't know about it. Also it is really hard to find/setup Microsoft Proxy Client if you don't know it is there. All I did was remove it and everyone is now heading out the T1 (and I am a hero...haha). Thanks...
At my new place of employment they were stuck with 25 PCs sharing a Modem Connection using Proxy Server on Windows NT 4. After much discussion I was able to convince them to purchase T1 service.
Now T1 installed and working great. However for the mean time mail still goes out the modem...
update: I downloaded NVFlash (4.15) and the reference NVidia MX420 BIOS (my card is Chaintech) I made a backup of the current BIOS and then tested the new BIOS using vgabios and it worked fine. So I decided to go ahead with the flashing. Well, it got all the way up to writing and then said it...
I have a really weird new problem:
Until I upgrade my video card I am stuck with a GeForce4 MX. When I plug this card into my Athlon XP 1800+/MSI KT333 system I get no video signal. When I use a GeForce2 MX in the same machine it works fine. The power supply is 300W.
Now when I plug the...
Actually I noticed on the nVidia website that the drivers were for Windows 98 SE. And during the install there was no program to install all the win98, but there were for ME,2000,XP. Do you think it could be because I am using Win98 and the drivers do not work properly? I could obtain a copy of...
I have a system based on the Abit nForce mboard. I know the onboard sound quality is not as good as a sound card, but I don't think my problem is quality. For about 5 minutes after power is turned on all sound is clear, but after about 5 min all sound gets distorted and fuzzy. I have the newest...
I recently upgraded my machine with the following:
Athlon XP 1800
MSI KT333 Ultra
512M DDR (older stuff I'm not sure of the speed but I had to turn down some mem timings to have it run at 133 FSB)
paired with old:
Geforce 2 MX4xx
SB Live Value
I am looking to upgrade the video card with a...
