And the high end G-Sync monitors have a stupid panel lottery roulette going on because of the poor QA when using the AUOptronics panel.
I've been looking at it again since Vega launched. I've decided to wait with my FuryX and Freesync monitor.... My last hope for this stupid vendor lock is...
All this news, and the fact that they skipped E3, and are truly unveiling this at Siggraph, a professional conference, just tells me they've given up on the Gaming crowd this round. If it is truly 1080 performance, that requires more juice to do it, it will be a disappointment. I say this as...
With these being clocked to the gills at 1300+, over the process/architecture sweet spot, equipped with only 36 CUs. Anyone else seeing Polaris for PC as leftovers? From both being a pipe cleaner tech or more importantly, the console developments? PS4 Pro, and seperately now Scorpio with the...
1080Ti is a rebranded Titan X... if we're using the same metrics laid out by some being applied to the AMD cards.

I personally don't have a problem with the situation. But it seems...
Before the reveal, they all specifically mention hitches on systems 1 and 3. They then mentioned that they only tested each game per machine in 5 minute increments at 7:52. 5 minutes and both 1 and 3 had hitches. Extend that to an actual gaming session now. I agree their conclusion conflicts...
Yeah and it was mostly silent, no waiting for GTC, and no recent rumours. Competing with itself is fine but jeez, the 1080, TitanX, 1080Ti, and now Titan Xp, before Volta just screams of milking and recurring nightmares of Kepler.
You're trying real hard to justify the results and purpose of the thread...
Most big studios have spent millions on their CPU based farms because for decades that has been the only option, and any change, if any isn't going to happen over night. Now this will by a double whammy...
When...
Completely depends on what you're trying to do. Some of the most complex shots in films could take days for a single frame.. or it could take a couple minutes. This is an unanswerable question, and any benchmark results can not be thought of in a vacuum or averages. Scale is the real metric. So...
Glad you were able to recover krumme. Looking forward to both of your builds progress.
I'm also looking for an mATX AM4 board, that Asus B350M Prime is the only one available on Newegg.ca currently. I would have liked to have gone for the Gigabyte. What were the reasons you went with that...
AMD drivers have been amazing for the past 6 months, while nVidia has had more blunders than normal. It honestly feels like the ill-informed meme people parrot has been reversed, outside of Linux.
However, if we're bringing in secondary factors beyond the video card into this... The option for...
At those prices, I could be in a market for a dual socket desktop workstation. Have AMD historically locked their multi-socket capabilities behind a professional (expensive) line like the Xeons?
These were my results just running the benchmark last night. Disappointed in the no UI scale for 1440p still. Will play a proper game this weekend sometime.
DX11 Graphics:
Average Frame Time - 16.627
99th Percentile - 25.482
DX11 AI - 21.80 Average Turn Time
DX12 Graphics:
Average Frame Time...
Same suspects spouting the same rhetoric that's been debated many times with no sides -wanting- to learn or change.
This sub forum is shit.

Would be nice to see a more technical break down of this benchmark...
So... if AMD stock reaches ~$7.60 once more, what's the harm in them AGAIN diluting their stock to pay off even more debt? I'm not at all into finance, so I'm just curious.
Yeah there are definitely shadows, even different time of days lots of nice little effects. When you build a Wonder, the time of day lighting kicks into a timelapse/accelerated mode going from day-sunset-magic-hour-night with the shadows swirling around. All being animated on the same map. Only...
Yeah the game's graphics aren't Battlefield 1 but it's a completely different type of game. For what it is, the graphics are pretty good, quite charming. After playing 15 hours of it over the weekend (one more turn syndrome is strong)... The FPS numbers in these graphs are pretty meaningless...
You were so quick to defend Gamersnexus on the first page. ALL outliers should be further examined. Not just the ones that suit agendas.

You can check your rendering resolution by typing 'render.drawscreeninfo 1' into the console.
Reset/Default 42% == Native resolution. Tweaking it, and then putting it back to 42% won't set it to native as expected. You have to reset settings to get Native again. DX12 is an all around...
The download was around 7.8gigs? Less than 8 for sure.
More people are saying 50% scaling is Native resolution. 100% is 4K, if playing at 1080p. Makes no sense.
Too many folks on the hate-orade here. Open-Beta, report your bugs and issues! Jeez, the usual suspects too. Lots of people are saying the 42% scale the game comes in at initially is real 100% scaling. Stupid logic, let's find out what's real. I downloaded it last night and got to play like 5...
If Vega launches in Q2 2017 and is only comparable to the 1070/80 we have now it will be mostly DOA, save for the die hards, unless they drag the entire current pricing scheme down with them. Being tied to HBM2 that seems unlikely.
With rumors of nVidia moving Volta up to 2017 as well... either...
Is that HardOCP picture for real? Can you get any less professional? Vive/Rift (Premium) > GearVR (Casual) > Google Cardboard (Entry).
Cockpit games are probably the best use case for the current VR headsets right now unfortunately. But little is shown on this front. Room Tracking, and...
It's good that HardOCP are doing these VR tests, that no one else seems to want to do quite yet. Their results should kick AMD in the rear to start doing something visible to the public for their VR support.
The use of these early access games and smaller experiences are debatable. But good...
No one is dumping RX400's into this possible optional steam survey pool. People are still using Hawaii farms to mine Ethereum as they probably have already paid for themselves and are in pure profit mode. You even have miners in this thread openly admitting buying 8+ RX cards and not taking part...
So you can't or won't. So please stop with the drive by remarks that bring nothing of value to the discussion. Who cares what others think of the games you want to play. List them and let others identify with your cause. I'm interested.
Can you at least argue with some counter facts? Reading this back and forth of DX11 vs DX12/Vulkan games, I see the DX12 camp actually show and confirm games on their side.
Which upcoming AAA(if that) DX11 games are performant critical? Both cards can handle current and yesteryear games better...
I know it's not what Nintendo has done since the Gamecube, but I think because the nature of this new "platform" (console/handheld hybrid) they have to take the most bleeding edge tech right now. Has to have a shelf life of 4 years at least. Anything less than the Tegra X2/Parker will be a...
I also just skipped out on a RX 480. But I ended up with a stupid cheap Fury while I was waiting between the stock launch to now, where we see custom cards trickle out. I got a 1440p 144hz freesync (40-144) monitor so I think it was a better choice. Especially with Canadian retailers adding...
I'm really interested in seeing how this plays out. Lots of rumors are suggesting it will be high powered mobile first device, with a dock (with extra power?) for the home console crowd.
But Nintendo is between a rock and a hard place. Try and compete with Sony/MS in the dedicated console...
What reason is there for AIB's or even retailers to sell their cards at the MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) when they know there is another card out there selling for the founders edition price. That's leaving money on the table, and these aren't your friends, they're businesses, both...
No, there was no regression. Just neglect. When the 290X was released, they were going toe-to-toe with 780Tis with games at the time. Now 290Xs are easily up to 20% faster in today's games as an example.
Where are the details on the RX 460 and RX 470. Seriously disappointing to not see these in reviews, stores or even mentioned. When do the NDAs drop for these and AIB cards?
As much as people are lamenting the fact that AMD JUST caught up to nVidia's Maxwell in terms of efficiency... AMD also did it refining their current architecture. Which seems key to their current strategies and beneficial for all GCN owners. And when comparing though the GCN iterations, the...
