Good for you, get it.
I paid 160$ CAD (120$US) for the router and cable 100ft. Got an access point with old router. Got max speed all accross the house and even 30 ft in the backyard, thinking of getting an outdoor access point
I'm not an enterprise. Family of four...
I will find out how. Dont want the router to be visible on the main floor. Will put it in my closet probably and will pass a 120v cable from a light swith located in the basement and make a plug in the closet. I will receive the new router and the 100ft cable probably by friday.
Made a test with my actual setup with the DIR 655, in the basement beside my PC, it is at 32mbps and in the main bedroom, it's 5mbps. In my son room it is 1-2 or none.
By the way this is my PC.

I bought the TP Link Archer C1900 with 100ft of Cat6A cable and will use my old DIR-655 as an accesspoint. Do you guys think it is a good start or I should have bought 2 x Archer 1900?
Okay, thanks for the info.Is it a bad thing that the signal will be cut in half with an extender or it will still be better than my DIR-655 at the far end of the house?
My shed will be like 100feet from extender router. If I use this to the shed, will it work ? they won't be on the same circuit...
Sorry but when I ask questions it's because I don't know the answer. Mnewsham and some others had been extremely helpful and I learnt a lot the last 24 hours and I have been reading the whole day about the subject. Ask me to watercool a PC and I'll be able to do it with my eyes closed. But...
The router has to be in the basement and same thing with the AP if I get one. Is there limitation in the AP positionning?
The problem is, I don't want to pass cables through the walls up to the first floor. I think buying a new router and using my old one has an extender would be the best and...
The powerline adapter is just to get the internet into my backyard which is on a circuit breaker.
My needs are still a router or the APs for my house like mnewsham is mentionning . My only concern is wiring there APs.
My budget is also very flexible, checking for the Archer C5400 right now but...
Yeah I know, I will probably get it. Just want to get the best for my needs, I'm ready to extend up to 400$ but is it really worth it? I am also trying to get the wifi to my backyeard shed that is around 30 meters from my house. I might try the powerline adapters for it.
Hi guys,
My DIR-655 is starting to loose connection frequently and I need a good router.
I cannot get signal when I am at the other end of the house and I would like to pay 200-300$ CAD. Need a reliable router. Need it for wireless laptops, cell phones and PS3.
Preferrably from newegg.ca...
budget is under 300-350$. Something with rebate is even better at this price
I will plug it directly into the motherboard sound card...unless you guys suggest a good sound card?
Hi guys,
I currently have Logitech G35 usb headphones and I'm starting to believe I can get WAY better.
What do you guys recommend as GOOD headphones with a mic?
Thanks.
Thanks man for your estimation.
My CPU is a i7 4930k at 4.5 Ghz and my PSU is an EVGA SuperNova 1600T2.
Unfortunately, I don't have the Quad R9 290x anymore, I only have one while I was waiting for new cards to arrive
It's the one I got :D
I am still waiting for my SLI GTX 1080ti and blocks and still trying to study wich HB bridge I need...if I actually need one at all. I just wonder if the MSI HB Bridge will fit with EK Terminal/blocks on the cards.
Water temp never went above 32 'c with 4 x 290x's OCed to 1200/1400mhz. My OCD cannot tolerate higher than that. And I have two sensors in my loop. One before the GPUs and one after and I can tell you the temps are the same.
I just want to eliminate that external rad and still be under 30'c...
Does anyone calculate their loop temperature.
I have 2 x GTX 1080ti on the way and before I had 4 x 290x.

Man, thanks a lot. That is a very complete answer. (Is that your web site, if so, it's awsome)
So I got this in hand. I will do my custom badge if that bridge is equivalent to their gimmicky HB Bridge.
Hi guys,
I want your opinions. My 2 last setups had Quad GPUs in them and I used Quad Parallel and Quad Semi-Parallel bridges. My last two cards setup was back in 2010 with 2 x HD 5850 cards and I was using serial bridge.

Hey Markfw, how are you my twin bro?
Which GPU did you pair with your Ryzen CPU?
I might get a Ryzen 1700 and pair it with one of my 4 old R9 290x while it is being replaced by 2 x GTX 1080ti.
I just called Ncix and they told me they are suppose to receive the block and the card within 1-3 days. I wonder if this is some lies just so I don't cancel my order.
I'll wait and see.
I I purchased one card at ncix.com (canada) on the 13th while it was listed in stock. I only received my Swift PG348Q and still waiting for the card and the block, everything seems out of stock everywhere, even the GPU blocks.
It is the second time in a row I buy from ncix from false...
Hi,
Can someone inform me on what I' ll pay after ordering from Nvidia Store if I live in Canada?
Here the cards are 999$ everywhere, should I buy from Nvidia Store or the customs destroy me?
